Present status:

Worked as Manager (Electrical) at Reliance Industries Ltd., Hazira Mfg. Division, Surat from Aug. 2003 till 10 ^th July2007.

Duties Performed:

As an Electrical Maintenance Manager, my key responsibilities were to achieve the aim of

➢ 100% availability of power to all the electrical equipments.

➢ Improvement in the reliability of all the single line equipments so as to minimize the plant down time.

Hence, curtail down the plant production loss in a continuous process plant due to any of the above reasons. These were achieved through the following activities carried out by me -

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating various proactive and preventive maintenance activities for all electrical equipments such as Power Transformer (12.5 MVA, 33KV/6.6V), 6.6 KV Switch Gear, HT/LT and VSD Motors, AC and DC UPS System, Battery and Battery Charger, and Illumination System.
• Identification of all the electrical related issues or potential issues that could be a risk to production integrity and upgrading the existing system if necessary.
• Assess company plant and equipment for efficiency, purpose and implement improvements so that output will be optimized.
• Use Online monitoring, fault finding and problem solving systems/techniques in order to maximize utilization of all company plant and equipment.
• Liaise and work closely with the production team enabling timely start up of plant.
• Confer with other supervisors and technicians to coordinate activities and to work safely, complying with the obligations under Health & Safety regulations.
• Prepare estimates, requisitions and cost proposal for the electrical jobs.
• Planning, Scheduling, Reporting and logging the history n track records of individual equipments into the SAP-PM system.

Work Experience:

· Experience in Coordinating engineering, Procurement, Contracting and overall Project management activities in the Commissioning of electrical system required for capacity expansion project of Polyethylene plant, Reliance Industries, Hazira.

· Good knowledge of hazardous area classification and selection of electrical cables, motors, etc based on the same.

· Thorough knowledge of power system protection relays and its coordination, commissioned numerical relays and did the coordination studies for the same.

· Good exposure of commissioning Variable Frequency Drives for Special Purpose Equipments.

· Commissioning of DG Synchronizing Panel for Emergency Power Supply.

· Excellent experience of coordinating all types of routine maintenance works, including modification of existing Control System according to specific requirements.

· Maintenance of Power Transformer, 6.6 KV Switch Gear, HT/LT and VSD Motors, AC and DC UPS System, Battery and Battery Charger, and Illumination System.

· Expertise in preparation of cost proposals for electrical works.

· Involved in inspection of various electrical equipments on the vendors site.

· Worked extensively on SAP system implemented in the company for PM, MM and project management.

B.E. in Electrical Engineering from S.G.S.I.T.S, INDORE (M.P.)

IGBT trainer makes students familiar with IGBT power device using interactive multimedia presentation in PowerPoint. This trainer was demonstrated at TRADEFARE 2002, Golden Jubilee of SGSITS.
