Recruited to manage and deliver web application projects to specification, time, budget and quality.
* Currently responsible for five external client web portals and eight internal web based applications encompassing a total of 5,000 users.
* Liaise closely with clients. Ensure they are updated at agreed times and issues are resolved quickly.
* Produce quotations/proposals for new requirements which are then project managed until project closure. Typical projects vary from 1 week to 3 months.
* Delivered several web enhancements projects to a number of clients that were delivered on time, to budget and to quality. Received high customer satisfaction feedbacks.
* Use PRINCE 2 Project management methodology and Microsoft Project to plan, monitor and maintain projects as well as maintaining risks and issues. Introduced a new software release procedure for internal applications.

Recruited to work in the PRINCE 2 Project Office of Information Management Solutions Delivery department, managing and delivering multiple projects on time, to budget and to high quality.
Intranet Web Application Project
The full-life cycle project delivered a scalable database to view, store and maintain operational and non-operational staff risk assessments via the Intranet for 12,000 users. The achievements include:
* Detailed potential technical solutions and negotiated development costs with supplier. The solutions were encompassed in an Options report and presented to the Project Board with a recommendation.
* Managed a third party supplier. The user requirements was converted to functional requirements using Unified Modelling Language (UML) i.e. Use Case development. The application was developed in ASP, SQL 2000, and Business Objects technologies using Agile.
The client was involved in the development process throughout via user feedback at regular workshops/demonstrations that resulted in client buy-in.
* Developed, maintained and tracked project plan and risks and issues logs.
* Managed key stakeholders by keeping them updated of progress, risks and issues via status reporting, Intranet Web pages and Project Board meetings.
* Delivered the project on time to a six month tight deadline and to a budget of £124k. 100% customer satisfaction received, one of the highest in the London Underground IT Department.
Implementation of an Electronic document management system project phase
* Assisted in a £1m+ phased rollout of an Electronic Document management system to London Underground.
* Managed third party suppliers to deliver a tailored solution to key departments.
* Arranged and presented senior-level user workshops
* Project phase implemented on-time and to budget. Project duration was 4 months.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Solution project
* Successfully completed a 6 month project on-time and to budget £126k with a team of up to 5 consisting of a Team manager, two Business analysts, Cost analyst and a Project Planner.
* Produced a detailed Business case that was approved by funding Gateway.
* Managed the capture and documentation of a set of detailed Engineering related Requirements Definitions products across London Underground. This resulted in the conclusion that a short term and longer term solution for a CAD system was needed. An Options report detailing alternatives to the existing was created and presented to Senior Management with a recommendation on the way forward.

* Analysed Planet Solutions' business and IT strategy and focusing on its vision, objectives and prioritising its portfolio of projects in terms of return on investment. The output was a two-phased management report, firstly, detailing findings for the above. The second detailing a set of proposals to expand the company. Resulted in Planet Solutions having a clear direction and objectives to expand and enabling them to produce a marketing brochure to assist in securing larger clients.

Project Manager 1999 - April 2004
Selected to develop, support, maintain and manage development projects using the business critical software used across the company.
Managed:
* Development of bespoke software and applications testing on the latest IBM operating system on behalf of 100 GSK sites worldwide. Defined Business case, Project Brief with estimation of time and cost for budget approval. Project plan maintained using MS Project. Matrix managed a team of up to 15 based on skills and experience. Key software developed and tested in house prior to release. Project cost was £80k. Managed resource allocation. Communicated project success and technical upgrade information via e-mail to all IT directors and Operations managers around the world. Project saved company £1/2m.
* A complex Customer Performance Development project, mandated by the CEO. Worked with business and IT managers to produce a business case for stakeholder approval. Assisted in design and coding. Team composed of up to 10 staff. New software was released worldwide. Project was on time and within £100k budget.
* A development of new finance software for producing deliverables which saved the company potential large corporate tax fines of £10,000. Required streamlined software methodology. Project was on time and to budget.
* A high risk project with a team of 12 IT specialists for software library modifications release to 14 European GSK sites to a tight 4 week deadline. Allocated resources to tasks and redistributed key resources on high priority activities when required. Reviewed progress and reported to IT Director daily.
* A key project and also the key advisor to GSK Belgium on their IBM OS400 upgrade project affecting 2000 users that resulted in successful installation in October 2003. Built close relations with the Senior manager of Western European development and GSK Belgium development team.
Senior Analyst Programmer 1998 - 1999
* Assisted in development and implementation of a £5 million complex Global Supply Chain (GSC) software project rolled out to all GSK sites between 1998-1999. The project consisted of a team of the 30 across four departments including development, forecasting, middleware systems and manufacturing. The software was developed in RPG400 programming language following the V-life cycle software methodology and strict pharmaceutical quality standards.
* As a result of the above project, technical expertise was used to assist in the co-ordination and presentation of 5 technical training workshops on GSC to 100+ IT users in the UK, Mexico and Malaysia.
* Supported 100+ GSK sites around the world - Europe, Far East, Asia and Australia.
LEASEPLAN Limited (Vehicle Leasing), Windsor 1995 - 1998

* Partly managed designing of a Finance system that improved the company's profile. Developed in RPG400 on IBM AS400 midrange system. The project involved working with the Finance director, the Finance manager, other senior managers and IBM.
* Managed new fleet management administration system that saved the company 50% time in admin processing. Worked with business to obtain requirements and written in RPG400. Provided user training.
ECLIPSE MARKETING, Reading 1995 (6 months)
Analyst Programmer
* Developed software programs to effectively interrogate the client's database to maximise marketing information. Using DEC Basic on a DEC Alpha, programmed software to provide information for clients to tight deadlines.
* Managed development project in MS Access where marketing campaign information could be entered and the results would be produced in a report.
