CV
OBJECTIVE:
A career position in Engineering
EDUCATION:
MSc, Communication Engineering, University of York, England Sep 2007. Result 2:2
BE, Electronics & Communication Engineering. Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, India. June 2005. Result 2:1
Courses:
Signal Processing & Communication; Mobile Communication; Satellite Communication;
ECAD, Multimedia Compression; Wireless Modems; Digital Signal Processing;
Analog & Digital Communication; Electronics; Control Systems
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
MATLAB:
Recording, sampling and re-sampling of audio speech and then investigating statistics of speech using various Quantization schemes like Fixed Quantization, Adaptive Quantization and Differential Quantization then finally make comparison of all schemes based on experimental data.
MATLAB and SIMULINK:
Designed and simulated a digital communication link for transmitted audio signals, model and simulate a physical layer communication system and then understand the issues and tradeoffs in communication system design.
C/C++
Developed various systems for comparison and evaluation of data and also developed solutions for various algorithms.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Trainee Engineer Advantage Medical Systems, IndiaJuly'05-Mar'06
Work Profile includes sending signals from machine to system and image generation by using medical equipments like MRI. This involves RF Coils, signal processing concepts and also using LINUX x86 and Solaris x86. Also includes the involvement in all team level meetings and support in taking initiatives like start program to learn LINUX scripting.
PROJECTS:
Identifying potential danger in network traffic: This project is concerned with the identification of potentially dangerous activity on a communications network. Such dangerous activity could be defined as malicious attacks, or misuse of a network. This project will investigate the use of a biologically inspired technique based on how the human immune system responds to infections: specifically a technique known as dynamic clonally selection. Based on this technique, the project will develop an identification system and will be tested on simulated data. Comparisons will be made between the system developed as part of the project and the established techniques for this problem (including other immune inspired approaches).
EPABX: A year long course where I learnt the core hardware engineering process and lifecycle practically by setting up a fictitious IT company and working as part of a team to deliver a hardware product (EPABX circuit) according to the client's specifications using C++.
Op-Amp amplifications: A six months project in which we have constructed integrated circuit for Automatic on-off light and automatic water level indicator using operational amplifier. Basically this project was completely based on hardware implementations using hardware products only.
PAPER & PRESENTATIONS:
Broadband to Trains in UK: Citizens increasingly expect access to high-speed access to internet and data services whether at work, home, or on the move. Rail passengers in the UK and elsewhere in Europe are now often offered connectivity to WiFi enabled devices. While WLAN devices are well established (e.g. IEEE 802.11x), the 'bottleneck' in delivering end-to-end connectivity to train passengers tends to be the link between the WLAN in the passenger carriage and the outer world. The paper reviews critically the various approaches to establishing this connectivity at the physical layer, e.g. through terrestrial networks, satellite, or a mixture of these approaches like the capacity and coverage limitations of 2G and 3G networks, issues are associated with satellite links to moving vehicles, network asymmetry should be expected or tolerated - how does this affect uplink and downlink requirements, how likely is it that emerging technologies such as WIMAX (IEEE 802.16x) will provide a solution?, the economic and business considerations in all the above?
Tender presentation: A presentation of tender for a project as Quality Coordinator to the customer that consisted of knowledge, resources and capacity required to carry out the project. In more general it consisted of methodologies those specify approaches regarding cost, time, control and management and to make project a success.
