Self employed property maintainer , duties involve liasing with customers meeting requirements, creating sales whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship and running own accounts.
Project Engineer AVE Rail Products, Derby 2000 to 2005
Responsibilities:
Involved within a projects team with complete estimating, planning, purchasing and expediting responsibilities for customer projects involving the interpretation of customer requirements, drawings and specification, together with interfacing with customers/suppliers on a regular basis.
Achievements
Developed new business contracts with major clients such as West Coast Main Line, Coradia, Juniper and most recently Govia.
This produced an increase of sales revenue for AVE Rail Products and ensured long-term employment prospects for the workforce.
Also involved in several other smaller contracts including Class 156,158 and 160.
Apprenticeship Scammell Engineering, Birmingham 1992 to 2000
Completed apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work and Fabrication/ Welding techniques.
Trained in Estimating, purchasing and expediting duties for a four year period before attaining responsibility for generating customer enquiry/ quotations,planning for products and component assembly requirements from the Rail industry.
Promoted to the position of Technical Engineer with the responsibility for supporting and maintaining existing customer accounts and developing new customer base.
Apprenticeship Gamwell Engineering Ltd, Birmingham 1991 to 1992
Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker trained in all areas of development and manufacture of Effluent Tanks and Ceiling Panel construction for the Rail industry.
