GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
I enrolled on a BTEC HNC Construction September 2004 to gain an understanding of the rules laid down by the CPI for the Standard Method of Measurement associative with electrical installation works for quotes costing and procurement. My C&G 2400 had started in the later part of the said month. I have earmarked several courses that CIBSE, IEE and ECS have to offer and hope to pick off these along with the electricity at works act as and when I am able to. One off these courses was a HNC contracting management held in high regard with ECA/CIBSE (distance learning).
My aim is to make my self as flexible to the integration of the installation electrical services as I can be (design, production and commercial). I have the experience to design, implement and commission most LV systems for electrification. I would relish more design and build work as well as exposures to mechanical related design. I am already a proficient AutoCAD draughts man, for which I have found a great tool in the massing of bill's of quantities for costing and for procurement that coupled with my hands on experience from within installation works gives me a great working knowledge of the components required to construct any given project. I have an interest in increasing my co-ordination skills related to build services although services co-ordination is no a problem for me. I Enjoy project based work and feel its where my strengths are set. I'm aiming to be a project manager and have started to investigate the path to achieve this through qualification, by taking up the relevant HSE guidance courses CDM, NEBOSH and further training on method statements and risk assessments through the CITB.
