Engineering graduate who is keen to begin a career as a building services engineer or as a graduate electrical engineer. Punctual, trustworthy and enjoys problem solving. Took some time away from electrical engineering to confirm that was the career I wished to follow. Willing to relocate anywhere in the UK and would also like to work abroad at some point. Have gained experience working as part of a team and also on my own initiative.

Work Experience
April/2007 to Present - Cemex UK
Laboratory Technician
Main duties include testing of aggregates and coated materials for road surfacing contracts. Updating the plant and managers on the quality of material being made and making changes to the recipe to bring it into spec should there be a problem. Making decisions whether materials are good enough quality to be sent to the customer. Inputting results on a computer package and analysing them then relaying back to the technical manager. Essentially the main aspect of the job is quality control.
September/2007 to Present - The Murray Bar
Barman
Duties include working on my own or as part of a team behind the bar serving drinks in a busy pub. Interacting with the customers, handling cash and locking up at the end of the night and housekeeping are all part of the job.
October/2006 to March/2007 - Forth Valley Engineering
Workshop operative/ Asst. Production Controller
At first I started in the factory to learn how the company worked in there manufacturing process of fittings for the oil and gas industry. My role included working in the despatch department where I applied a finish to the fittings, coded them and the finally packed them onto a lorry using a forklift. I was then asked to move into the office where a was learning to do purchase orders, identifying how much material was needed to cover orders, monitor the quality of materials being produced and updating job files on an continuous basis.
Also various summer jobs between college and university.
