A highly motivated Construction Superintendent / Manager with over thirty years experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, shipbuilding and ship repair industry's. Jan 2006 - Nov 2007Grand Bahama Shipyard

Production Manager

Responsible for managing the yard production department,

comprising of nine trade and support managers reporting directly to

myself, and a workforce of over five hundred.

Duties included:-

*The recruitment of all labour and supervision.

*The monitoring of all production man-hours.

*Ensured that all company safety and environmental policies

and procedures were adhered to at all times.

* Issued job packs, work lists and budgets to trade managers.

* Part of the company project bid team.

* Monitored production and departmental budgets.

* Motivation of personnel in quality and safety awareness by

providing training, equipment and the writing of toolbox talks.

* Maintained production department skills matrix for all supervision tradesmen and apprentices.

July 2005 - Jan 2006Grand Bahama Shipyard.

Steel Manager.

Responsible for managing a large steel shop and the

fabrication and erection of all new steelwork onto various

vessels in for refit and repair.

Duties included:-

*Supervision and training of a multi-racial workforce.

*Liaising with the production team and project managers on project

build sequence, production planning and schedule

preparation.

*Control of steel department budget.

*Monitor all steel department man-hours.

*Labour resource planning for future contracts.

*Ship visits to assess and plan future work.

*Ensured all work was carried out to contract

specifications, and within the parameters of the permit

to work system .

May 2005 - July 2005 P. S. L. Aberdeen

Construction Engineer - Superintendent

Pre-Shut down. I was based in Aker Kavaerners office in Dyce where I was responsible for checking work packs, writing structural job cards, task risk assessments and advising on manning levels for the British Gas Armada phase 111 project. Offshore I issued job cards to supervisors , monitored progress, worked with onshore design engineers to resolve clashes and implement revisions and modifications whilst ensuring all work was carried out to clients specifications and within the parameters of the permit to work system.

Oct 2004 - May 2005McNulty offshore Contractors Ltd.

Structural Superintendent.

Responsible for the running of a 150 man night shift of all disciplines on Technip's East Area Project, from deck erection stage through to load out. Duties included the compiling of punch lists, monitoring progress and co-ordinating between discipline engineers to ensure all work and site instructions were closed out

June 2004 - Sept 2004 McNulty Offshore Contractors Ltd.

Construction Superintendent / Field Engineer.

Responsible for the writing off all structural job cards and permits on Blue Water's Haewene Brim Pearce Water Injection Project. Working closely with the project and clients engineers on revisions and modifications. On vessel arrival I was responsible for the destruct of existing steelwork and the installation of new modules, the recording of progress and ensuring all job cards, punch lists and test packs were completed to client specifications during a very concentrated 40 day program also Area Authority on project permit to work system.

June 2003 - June 2004 McNulty Offshore Ltd.

Senior Construction Superintendent.

Based in Port Weller Dry Dock, Ontario, Canada where I was responsible for the construction of M01 module for the White Rose project. From the cut and prep stage through to pipe installation and mechanical completion. Duties included advising on all build sequence and manning levels. Field engineering to resolve clashes etc. Working closely with Client design engineers on revisions and modifications. Writing risk assessments and tool box talks. Compiling punch lists and monitoring test packs during the concentrated testing program.

Nov 2002 - June 2003 Cardiff Craftsman, Cardiff

Oct 2001 - Dec 2001 Foreman.

Oct 2000 - Dec 2000 Responsible for all Steel trades and work undertaken

on various vessels in dry docks and at sea world-wide. Liaison with company superintendents to ensure refit work schedules were completed on time and to Clients specifications

April 2002- Oct 2002 Grand Bahama Shipyard Ltd.

Structural Supervisor.

Supervising and training of the local and multi-national workforce also responsible for all steel trades and work undertaken on various vessels in for refit and repair. Liaison with Vessel superintendents to ensure that work was completed on schedule and to Clients specifications.

Dec 2001 - Mar 2002 McNulty Offshore Ltd.

Structural Foreman.

Responsible for the Fabrication of Sub Sea RB9's SSIV's and manifolds on the Kerr McGee Maclure Development, Sub Sea Facilities project.

Mar 2001 - Sept 2001 McNulty Offshore Ltd.

Structural Foreman.

Responsible for the fabrication and erection of all steelwork on the jack up Rig 'AMAZONE' upgrade and refurbishment.

Structural Foreman.

Duties included the complying of job and test packs prior to vessel arrival and being responsible for the fabrication and erection of all pipe supports on the Bleu Holm conversion for Talisman.

Dec 2000 - Jan 2001 Montins.

Site Foreman.

Responsible for all trades and the fabrication and erection of pipe supports at the Mars factory annual shutdown in Slough.

Aug 1998 - Apr 2000 Orion Project Services, Invergordon, Rosshire.

Fabrication Supervisor.

Sub-contracted to Barmac, responsible for the fabrication and the erection of steelwork on the Elf Elgin Project. Other duties included the stage, general final visual of fabrication and welding prior to the hand-over of dimensional, weld and NDT history package to the certifying authority representative.

Feb 1998 - Aug 1998 Aker Maritime.

Plater.

Duties included the marking fabrication and erection of steelwork on the Banff, Kyle and Eldfisk Projects.

Apr 1996 - Feb 1998 Swan Hunter, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear.

General Foreman.

Responsible for the day to day running of a large fabrication shop and overseeing a busy barge turn around programme used in the de-commissioning of redundant offshore modules and jackets. Transferred to pipe laying vessel Solitaire, working with yard engineering department ,rectifying clashes and drawing queries, issuing and ensuring Job Packs were completed . Recording fabrication progress and monitoring permit to work and vessel entry systems.

Jan 1996 - Apr 1996 Stahban Sommer GMBH, Germany.

Site Foreman.

Responsible for all platers, welders and erectors working on the construction of a large Monorail system. Duties included planning of work programme to tie in with other disciplines on site, rectifying any clashes and working with Civil and Structural Engineers on levels and Monorail layout

Oct 1995 - Dec 1995 Grootcon UK.

Plater.

Involved in the fitting of all extra support steelwork for a new gas injection module.

May 1995 - Dec 1995 Wood Group Engineering Contractors Ltd.

Plater.

Involved in all plating work for the LTFD Project

(BOSL No: 2291) Various employment on and offshore. All plating work involved on offshore maintenance and hook-up contracts. Also short periods in Fabrication shops in Aberdeen and Montrose.

Jan 1988 - May 1990 All work involved in the fabrication of decks, flare booms,
