EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

December 2006 - Wood Group Engineering (North Sea) Ltd.

PresentShell Sigma 3 Contract

Position: Senior Instrument Engineer

Since joining the Sigma 3 contract I have been primarily involved with client Change Proposals affecting their Mature asset portfolio. This involves the production of engineering studies or detailed design estimates covering the Instrument discipline involvement for the CPs.

One major piece of work which I have undertaken, which covered the majority of the existing Mature and Central assets was an engineering study addressing the costs and work involved in upgrading Shell's Pipeline Integrity System (PLIS).

February 2006 - Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner Ltd.

December 2006Various project involvement, as detailed below.

Position: Senior Instrument Engineer

July 2006 - December 2006, Nexen Scott Contract

I Joined the Nexen Scott modifications support contract, having completed my requirements on the Affleck Development.

I was primarily involved in the early workscope definitions for a number of jobs aimed at delivering the Power Generation Improvement Project on the platform.

For example a temporary temperature monitoring and recording arrangement aimed at identifying areas within the turbine enclosures which should be targeted for additional ventilation airflow.

June 2006 - July 2006, Maersk Oil Affleck Field Development

Following the successful completion of my duties on the Dumbarton project, and given the experiences and lessons learnt there, I was requested to assist on the early specification of the valve packages for Maersk's Affleck development. Affleck is a subsea tieback to the Janice platform, and like Dumbarton it required the full range of Instrument valves but on a smaller scale.

I remained in this position until all valve packages had been issued for enquiry to the prospective vendors.

February 2006 - June 2006, Maersk Oil Dumbarton Field Development

Employed as a Senior Instrument Engineer on the project to convert the Global Producer III FPSO, in preparation for its redeployment in Maersk's Dumbarton field.

I was the Package Responsible Engineer for all Instrument valve packages, which include all Shutdown, Blowdown, Control and Relief valves.

My responsibility was in ensuring that the required valves were specified correctly and that the necessary Technical Evaluation process was carried out to identify the preferred suppliers. My role in this aspect of the project continued through to the final factory testing of the valves prior to their shipment.

I have also had a supplementary role in the specification and evaluation of other field instrumentation packages.

February 2005 - Kellogg Brown & Root.

February 2006 Apache, Forties Field Modifications & Support Project

Position: Senior Instrument Engineer

Employed as a Senior Instrument Engineer involved primarily with the Forties Bravo ESP Well Conversions and Direct Export projects.

There was an ongoing program to convert all Bravo wells to Electric Submersible Pump operation, supported by the installation of a dedicated switchroom housing the ESP variable speed drive units.

The Direct Export modifications involve the bypassing of Forties Bravo separators and the routing of well fluids directly to Forties Charlie.

I was involved in all aspects of Instrument engineering for these projects, from initial design concepts through to the production of commissioning workpacks.

November 2003 - Wood Group Engineering, Aberdeen.

February 2005 Talisman FCA & MNS Modifications & Support Project

Position: Instrument Engineer

Employed as an Instrument Engineer as part of the ongoing Talisman Engineering and Modifications Group, looking after both the Flotta Catchment Area and Mid North Sea assets, which include 7 Offshore Production Platforms and 2 Onshore Terminals.

Duties included, carrying out Offshore Surveys and compiling the relevant reports, the production of all engineering deliverables i.e. datasheets, workpacks, checking of Design Section work etc. Review of vendor's bid documents and issuing of material requisitions. These include, but are not limited to; Control Valves, Actuated Ball Valves, PSV's, Orifice Plates, Thermowells (and the sizing there-off), field instrumentation, DCS and F&G Systems.

Witnessing and Inspection of equipment and Factory Acceptance Testing for projects, which I hold responsibility for.

Assisting offshore personnel with queries and commissioning activities.

January 2002 - Aker Kvaerner

November 2003 Talisman FCA Modifications, Maintenance and Operations Group

Position: Senior E&I Designer

This position involved all aspects of Instrumentation engineering and design for modifications & minor projects, within Talisman's Flotta Catchment Area. Namely, Claymore, Piper, Saltire & Tartan platforms as well as Flotta Terminal itself.

For my first six months in this position I was involved solely in the design for the installation of two new Import Gas Heaters on the Claymore. I carried out all E&I survey works on the Claymore and worked closely with drawing office personnel in producing all E&I drawings, schedules and databases for this project. Latterly I was mainly involved in the project to remove and replace all Halon systems across all the assets as mentioned above.

December 2000 - October 2001, Magnus Enhanced Oil Recovery Project

This project involved the design and construction activities to provide treatment and enrichment facilities for West of Shetland gas at Sullom Voe Terminal.

A new subsea pipeline transports this gas from Sullom Voe to the Magnus platform where it is injected to allow production processes to continue their effectiveness, thereby extending field life.
