EMPLOYMENT DETAILS.
Jan 2005 - July 2007. Aker Kvaerner employee, Contracted to Total on the Elgin/
Franklin project.
Employed as an Operations Supervisor in charge of a multi-discipline team. Producing gas and condensate form a high pressure/high temperature field. Responsible for all process operations and permit to work system.
The field is a high pressure / high temperature development, with condensate being exported via the Forties Pipeline System, and gas, which is treated to Sales Gas specification, being exported via the SEAL pipeline to Bacton. Plateau production for condensate is 140,000bbls/day, and for gas 15.0mmscm/day. The field facilities comprise of two wellhead platforms, one of which, Franklin, is a remotely operated normally unmanned installation, and the central processing platform. The central processing platform, Elgin PUQ (Process, Utilities, Quarters), contains the condensate processing plant and the gas treatment plant, that comprises amine, glycol, NGL, metering and export facilities.
Nov 2003- Jan 2005. Petrofac employee: - Employed on the Montrose platform.
Duties were training of maintenance personnel in the safe operation of process equipment to enable the platform to have a multi-skilled operations team.
April 1995 - Oct 2003. Atlantic Power employee, contracted to BHP on the Liverpool bay project.
Employed as one of the Operations supervisors in control of a multi-disciplined workforce. Transferred to Satellite Operations Supervisor/OIM for intervention duties. Responsible for all permits to work controls and day-to-day operations and maintenance.
Previously a Senior CCR Technician for Oil and Gas production using D.C.M.S. by Fisher Rosemount. Level 3 NVQ certified.
Spent six months working in the yards, on construction and commissioning of accommodation and production platforms.
Went offshore in August 1995. The field has a high H2S content, and the facilities consist of an accommodation and utilities platform, and a production treatment Platform.
There are also a complex Wellhead and three remote Wellhead platforms. Production throughput of the process is 75,000 B/Ls/d of oil and 10 MSCMD of gas. Process systems include 3 stage separators for oil and gas, oil stripper and compressors, offgas compressors and gas injection compressors, gas booster and export gas compressors. Water injection and methanol regeneration system. Condensate Reinjection pumps. Produced water treatment by Hydrocyclones. Plus all associated utility equipment.
March 1993 -April 1995AMOD employee contracted to Total Oil Marine
North Alwyn Platform.
Production Operator for Oil and Gas Production .
The platform exports 65,000 B/Ls/d of oil and 10 MSCMD of gas. The process consists of HP and LP 3 stage separators for oil and gas trains with associated. Oily water treatment separators. Also Freon refrigeration, glycol dehydration and regeneration and associated gas compressors, working up to 200 bar pressures. Systems also include oil and gas metering and gas metering and
Export, water treatment and water injection at 1000m3/h. Major utilities include 3 gas turbine driven generators producing 13.9 MW each, sea water and cooling water systems, a reverse osmosis unit and associated fire and gas protection systems. Test separators exist for oil and gas well testing.
Jan 1989 - March 1993AMOD employee contracted to British Gas at Morecambe Bay
Senior Production Technician/ Intervention team/OIM for Gas Production Satellite Platforms
Central Processing Platform for 1 year. Equipment included gas separation, chill down, glycol dehydration and regeneration. Transferred to commissioning and start up of stage 2 normally unmanned platforms. Platforms consisted of 7 wells producing up to 10 MSCMD of gas (controlled by Brisco hydraulic panels), a 3-stage separator, test separator, methanol injection, glycol injection and pig launcher.
Employed as a Control Room Operator with outside duties. Controlled Permit to Work system. Manual control of all systems during drilling phase up to final handover to Central Control.
After 2 years moved to normally manned production satellite platform as Control Room Operator. Systems as Stage II platforms except with firewater pump coverage.
1984 - 1988 NPSC Libya on contract to Occidental Libya.
Commission, start up and operation, as a Supervisor on an oil and gas producing field consist of 15 producing wells, separation, storage, metering and movements. Associated gas treatment and compression and gas separation and condensate movements.
1982 - 1984 NPSC Libya on contract to Azzawaya Oil Refinery
Commission and start up 23 MW gas turbine driven generators, steam generation by exhaust gases and fuel gas compressors.
1980 - 1982 Occidental Oil Libya.
Senior Panel Operator for Gas Plant
4 stage gas compressor, 2 propane gas compressors, 4 x 3 stage gas compressors, gas chillers, glycol dehydration and regeneration, gas fractionation, metering for the shipping of condensate.
