CV

Machine Handling & Maintenance Ltd

I am a capable and competent engineer who embraces a challenge, I take pride in what I achieve and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. I can be a valid team member or lead from the front. I have experience in many aspects of engineering. This pool of knowledge is there to be used and shared with colleagues to the benefit of the company.

Maintenance Drawing on inherent engineering ability, I excel at proactive maintenance, I have compiled and implemented Planned Maintenance Schedules, alongside the schedules I have introduced failure/breakdown sheets which together with maintenance check sheets provided the facility to build historical data records which can be used for future reference to aid fault finding, 'engineering out' repetitive problems and highlighting possible future failures.

Practical aptitude I have a proven track record for improving production processes by eliminating "bottle necks" in the system, this has been achieved through project engineering by either modifying the existing system / process or by introducing different techniques, both of which have reduced downtime and increased productivity.

Motivation Having worked in various fields of engineering, I believe I have benefited from meeting and working in a multi-disciplinary environment where getting the project completed on time within a budget means team work is more important than an uncompromising division of work by trade. Through working abroad to tight time-scales in difficult conditions I have demonstrated a capacity for self -motivation and an ability to motivate others where necessary. The ability to obtain the support and co-operation of others not directly under your control and who are not of your native tongue pulls on ones resources of communication and motivation skills, the end result giving a sense of achievement and can be very rewarding to all parties.

Machine/Plant

Installation I have been involved in plant installation and machine moves. This has covered a wide spectrum from under floor lathes to double gantry overhead cranes with a width span of thirty metres, to process plant installation and production line assembly, to machine moves using skates and jacks or chain blocks and slings. Whenever these tasks were carried out the criteria would always be to conform to Health and Safety procedures.
