Trained in general drawing office practice. Having completed my training I was promoted to Draughtsman. My duties included upgrading and revising existing drawings. Working with the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Hydrological Engineers. Being involved with the compilation and production of drawings pertinent to Kariba Dam Hydro-Electric plant and equipment. These drawings were used by The Zambian Electricity Authority and the Zimbabwe Electricity Authority.
Reason for leaving: I was offered a position with Coyne et Bellier, the Civil Engineering Consultants who are responsible for the ongoing monitoring of Kariba Dam
