Duties: Design and review of process plant installations of electrical and electronic

equipment, rack, trunking and tray work using PDMS.

Design reviews carried with all other disciplines and subcontractors,

ie Ventilation, Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Space Management and Process Machine designers.

Clash free, data consistent zones created using the following PDMS

Modules: DESIGN, DRAFT, ISODRAFT, CLASHER, DATACOM, REPORTER and PDMS REVIEW.

2002 to 2005 AMEC (B41 Project)

Position:CE&I Engineer (Plus Site Support)

Location: BNFL Warrington and SDP Sellafield, Cumbria

Duties: Front End Design and modification of 'Brownfield Site' CE&I Systems. Preparation of all Schematic, Loop, BCD and Equipment Procurement documentation. Organisation of Programmes, resources

and workloads to meet Milestone Targets. Preparation of Risk Assessment, Safety and HAZOP documentation. Production of Commissioning Worksheet and Test documentation following design implementation. Frequent Active Site visits using specialised Entry Procedures to survey new projects and to assist the Site Commissioning Team to progress the design to a working and certified completion.

1999 to 2002 BNFL

Position:Electrical Engineer - PDMS (Site Support)

Location: SDP Sellafield, Cumbria

Duties: Addressing and rectifying site based problems associated with PDMS

and all other Electrical design areas.

Running of Panel Mod Contract. This included implementing circuit design changes and safety testing, controlling priorities and Personnel. Duties also included hitting milestone targets

and close liaison with Commissioning and subcontractors.

1997 to 1999 : BNFL

Position:PDMS Designer

Location: BNFL Warrington for SDP Project

Duties: Design of process plant installations of electrical and electronic

equipment, rack and tray work using PDMS (Silicon Graphics and

NT Based operating systems).

Design carried out via close liaison with all other disciplines, ie

Ventilation, Civil, Mechanical, Piping and Space Management to

create totally clash free, data consistent zones.

Modules used include DESIGN, DRAFT, ISODRAFT, CLASHER,

DATACOM and REPORTER.

1996 to 1997 : BNFL

Position:Electrical / Instrument Designer

Location: BNFL Warrington for SDP Project

Duties: Design of Control Panel Schematics and loop diagrams for individual systems, equipment selection, panel construction and arrangements.

Incorporation of PLC equipment

1992 to 1996 : ALSTHOM

Position:Leading Hand

Location: Various Combined Dual Cycle and Coal Fired Power Stations.

Duties: Design and modification of Schematic, I/O, Switchgear and

Computer Interface diagrams. Control Panel Design and Layouts.

Fabrication diagrams, instrument, motor and actuator schedules,

BCD's and termination diagrams. Cable support systems

1991 to 1992 : NUCLEAR ELECTRIC

Position:Electrical Engineer

Location: Knutsford Office for Sizewell B Project

Duties: Design and modification of schematic, loop, interface, single line,

BCD and termination diagrams.

Cable design for complete systems.

Site visits and Sub-contractor liaison.

Work included such areas as Water Treatment Plant, Generator Circuit Breaker, Main Boiler System, Chemical Dosing, HVAC,

Trace Heating and Switchgear.

Location: Springfields Projects (Uranium Purification and Pellet Production)

Duties: Following site visits and inspection, design, testing and completion of

small projects using various instrumentation applications. eg gas analysis, flow, level and temperature measurement.

Design of Schematics, loop diagrams and cable installation.

Plant layout and equipment, Control panel design, P&ID's and

engineering test schedules.

1989 to 1990 : CEGB

Position:Electrical Engineer / Designer

Location: Knutsford Office for Sizewell B Project

Duties: All Aspects of Control Room Design. Mimics to reflect

functional, operational importance and operation of plant for

Reactor, HVAC, Electrical Services, Fire Protection and Emergency

Shutdown Systems.

Alarm and Annunciator Systems, Telecommunications, Cabling

and subcontractor liaison.
