General inspection activities including stage and FAIR inspections. Ensuring components conform with both drawing and customer requirements. Use of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, height gauges, slips gauges etc.

Senior Quality Engineer - Siemens Gas Turbines 2005 - 2007

Responsible for all quality functions within the Projects area of the business. Review and compile contractual quality documentation. Supplier management activities including training and education of suppliers to improve products and service. Customer liaison and interface on quality related issues. General inspection of turbine package equipment at supplier's premises and on site. Performing quality audits in compliance with ISO 9001:2000 both internally and at supplier's premises.

Senior Quality Control Engineer - Siemens Gas Turbines 2003 - 2005

Responsible for the liaison and interface with manufacturing management on quality related issues. Plan and develop quality awareness, with integration training and implementation of the training elements to achieve the desired objectives. Duties include prioritising workloads, dealing with customer / supplier queries and complaints. Review and updating departmental quality documents and ensuring quality procedures are followed. Reporting directly to the Quality Control Manager, responsible for a team of inspectors and Quality Control Engineers, supervisory responsibilities include man management and minor budgetary control.

Quality Control Engineer - Siemens Gas Turbines 2002 - 2003

Investigating and reporting quality issues within the core manufacture area of the business. Duties included compilation of reports, customer liaison and general inspection of critical components during manufacture and assembly stages. Conducting First Article Inspection on new and redesigned components. Responsible for calibration of all measuring equipment with the Quality department.

Inspection Technician - Alstom Gas Turbines (Siemens) 1999 - 2002

Responsible for quality within the Rotor manufacture area. Duties included general inspection, planning salvage procedures and pro-active inspection. Conducting First Article Inspection on new and redesigned components.

CNC Lathe Operator - Alstom Gas Turbines (Siemens) 1996 - 1999

Producing turbine shafts and discs to high tolerances on a Max Muller MDW 20 CNC Lathe, programming and tool setting.

Apprentice Machinist - European Gas Turbines (Siemens) 1992 - 1996

Time served apprentice - trained on various machines including Lathes, CNC Lathes, Cylindrical Grinders and Milling Machines.
