Working in the engineering department for an EPC company on an oil/petrochemical project valued at approx. $11bn in a remote region of Saudi Arabia. Duties include responding to technical queries from civil and mechanical contractors, liaising with client, authorities, design team and other EPC companies.

December 2005 - November 2006

Siemens AG - Field Civil Engineer

Working for the project management team on a biomass power station project valued at $300m. Duties included addressing queries from the civil and mechanical contractors, liasing with client, local authorities and design team.

Working as an English, maths and science teacher at a private school teaching six to eight year old Thai and Chinese children. Other aspects include preparing lesson plans and activities, as well as giving presentations to parents, governors and ministry of education officials.

Working for a medium - large main contractor on a 'cluster' of 6 contracts valued at $3-5 million each. Work included the demolition and upgrading of older waste water treatment works which required the insertion of submerged tanks of various sizes with their associated pipework. Duties included supervising and inspecting projects as well as liaising with clients, authorities and design team.

September 2001 -November 2003

Morgan=est (as part of HMB Alliance) - Section engineer

Working for a large main contractor on a project valued at approximately $80 million. The project entailed varied work to an existing clean water treatment works and comprised R. C. and steel structures of various sizes (predominantly tanks) as well as pipe work ranging from 100mm diameter ducting up to 96" diameter mains and piling and cofferdam installation. Duties included supervising other engineers, inspecting works, addressing queries from contractors, liaising with clients and design team.

August 2000 - September 2001

Coffey construction - Site engineer

Working for a medium sized main contractor on a project valued at around £2 million. Duties included setting out R. C. piles, road slab sections, drainage and water retaining structures.

June - September 1999

O'Rourke - Assistant engineer

Assisting site engineer on an R.C. shopping centre by checking and setting up instruments as well as setting out on a multi-story car park. After one month I became the site concrete technician being responsible for all Q. A. concerning concrete including testing and subsequent recording of results.
