PROFILE: I am a Qualified Project Manager, with a wide range of experience working in both the Private & Public sector. These have been both office based process / software projects, through physical works & construction projects to new product implementation projects. I am currently Managing 11 Projects within London Underground. Leading the implementation of projects worth up to £20Million each and also leading new initiatives across the organisation. Managing Expectations and ensuring Stakeholder needs are met on a daily basis. Previously I was a Senior Business Planner & Project Manager working within the Automotive Industry.

  • On track to deliver a station modernisation project ahead of schedule.

- Responsible for leading 11 Projects with an individual value of up to £20Million and a combined value of nearly £80Million.

- Implemented a new check sheet for speeding up the Completion approval process.

- Leading a Cross functional team to implement a new Vendor Framework Agreement.

Sept 1993 - Dec 2006:

Visteon UK Ltd (Formerly part of the Ford Motor Company):

Position Held: Senior Business Planner - European Electronics Strategy (2002-Present)

- Created a restructuring plan which generated $25 Million Dollars in Annual savings.

- European Project Lead for Major outsourcing action.

- Created & implemented new electronic European spending approval process.

- I have led many UK & European actions and new business opportunities, working on a number of special studies and reporting these to Senior and Executive management.

- Successful program management on the implementation of several of these actions, leading to annual savings of around £5 Million.

- Worked with the UK central finance team to create new financial models, analytical techniques, in order to identify & drive new profit and value propositions and to resolve complex business issues.

- Provided direction on all manufacturing related financial matters, including restructure and capital projects, leverage best practise across Europe and effective Asset management.

- Actively controlling the projects to achieve delivery to time, cost and quality in accordance with company processes and procedures

- Actively managing relationships with customers and suppliers through ought the project.

- Manage project cash flow to agreed budgets, ensuring completion of milestones and obtaining payment.

- Advanced very high skills in Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Position Held: Manufacturing Engineer - Automotive Electronics Manufacture (2000-2002)

- I managed the manufacturing deliverables for two new programs as well as the day-to-day issues, ensuring that the programs stayed on time and within budget.

- I reduced the head count on one process area by 25% (13 to 10 heads) through process change and 30% in another area (7 to 5) by process improvement.

- To achieve this I was heavily involved in negotiating with the Unions and the production people, to ensure a smooth transition.

- Both projects not only saved headcount, but also improved quality and efficiency without affecting safety.

Position Held: Quality Technician - Automotive Electronics Manufacture (1997-2000)

- Reduced warranty claims by 50% through analysis and driving of corrective actions.

- Developed new suppliers for our quality test equipment, leading to greater flexibility and better quality of service.

- Improved the quality of the data that fed into the regular plant meetings by driving consistency of reporting and revalidation of results.
