Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and management of Motorola's Reliability Stress Testing Facility, to carry out Accelerated Life Testing and product evaluation of all Motorola GSM products. Liasing with Engineering on design and process issues identified during the Reliability Test process.

The development of the Reliability Test Facility involved the technical specification, selection and procurement of environmental chambers plus test and measurement equipment, test fixtures and infrastructure.

Control of both the Capital and Operational annual budget for the departments expenditure, justification of Capital required for further development and control of it's expenditure. The day to day running and managing a team of eight fulltime personnel and six contractors within the facility. Responsible for the setting of their annual Objectives, monitoring of the status of the individual's objectives quarterly throughout the fiscal year and performing annual appraisals.

Involved in data collection and analysis to identify/prioritise manufacturing issues. Driving the process, cycle time, and supplier quality improvements to root cause.
