Fuel Project Engineer for Tarmac, part of Anglo-American Ltd.
Job includes project management of substitute fuel energy development program (estimated budget can vary from 75k to 3million pounds) and assessment, design, implementation and commissioning of various projects in lime and cement plants following strict health and safety standards. In order to carry out the various projects must work as part of a task team, which can vary from 4 to 10 members and/or other external suppliers. It also requires use of analytical skills for collection and interpretation of energy issues and environmental data emissions. Production of professional reports on various projects and energy and CCL improvement performance reports so as to meet the needs of business and comply with the environmental standards.
ˇ Worked from 01/10/2005 to 01/10/2006 as Assistant Project Engineer, for Bridgewater Newsprint Paper Company, part of Abidibi Consolidated.
Worked as part of team of engineers, technicians and scientist to solve a production quality issue. Through acquisition of technical problem solving skills, good communication within the team and self-motivation the project was successfully completed and problem was reduced by 90%. As the project was finished before the contract expired the job also included a shorter 2 months project, which dealt with a liquid treatment issue.
ˇ During academic year 2004-2005 worked as a university lab demonstrator for younger students. Job required good presentation skills in order to satisfy the requirements of the students.
ˇ Summer 2003 (3months); I.T assistant for the municipal administration of the city of Glifada, Athens in Greece. Job included engineering data input and a flexible approach as administrative work was also involved.
Other part time jobs during university included bar staff, office facilities cleaner and waiter.
