July 2007-present: Operations manager- Excess Access LTD

This is a relatively small company which supplies car parts. My role in this company is to implement ideas which will modernize and improve the business. Currently I am responsible for the re-design and production of the company website and business cards.

2005- July 2007: focused on completion of degree.

Due to me commuting to University, I found myself with little free time on my hands. Therefore, I made a conscious decision to not work during this period and focus on my education in order to gain a good qualification.

2004-2005: stock room manager- Aldo shoes

My role in this company was to manage all aspects of the stock room. I was responsible for ordering new stock and ensuring that the stock room was organised and efficient. I was also responsible for maintaining the health and safety of the stock room.

Team work and Leadership

Able to work well within a team, also have the maturity and ability to coordinate and lead a team in the completion of a task.

  • I was the group leader of the final year group project at Kingston University. The aim of the project was to develop a rotary valve which would replace the standard poppet valve in a combustion engines. This project was completed successfully due to good team work and communication.
  • I have been the class representative for mechanical engineering for the full duration of the course. This involves dealing with student's problems regarding the course and working with the teachers, during meetings, to improve the course.

Computing Knowledge

General:

Microsoft office (including word, excel, internet explorer and Netscape)

Engineering:

  • Have worked extensively with engineering packages during the degree course.
  • Such packages include; IDEAS cad/cam software, Visual basics programming software, LABVIEW data analysis and control, Microsoft project (project management), Matlab, codas, solid works and many other engineering packages.
