Career History

July/2006-July/2007 AJS-The Netherlands

AJS is the abbreviation of (Amec-Jacobson-Stork) a consortium of 3 companies joined together in one Integrated Services Contract (ISC), a 3 rd party partner to NAM/Shell, both in UK and NL.

Position: Integrated planner.

Tasks:

1-Using Primavera-Enterprise version 5.1, and SAP, I run the master plan (integrated plan) for 2 offshore installations (gas-producing platforms).

An integrated plan is a major plan that consists of 5 embedded sub-plans:

  • 1.1-The maintenance plan.
  • 1.2-The capital projects plan.
  • 1.3- Engineering minor modifications plan.
  • 1.4-Well services plan.
  • 1.5-Operations plan.

2- Compiling shut down plans; for annual shut downs, from one week to one month detailed hourly plan of the stoppage of the platforms.

3- Running "Change Request" process, whereby feedback is supplied to the functional planners and area coordinators with changes of the plan implications and deviation due to weather/resources restrictions.

Jan./2006- July/2006 Corus-The Netherlands

I had joined "Corus British Steel/ijmuiden" to work as a planning engineer, during which I had issued several plans for new installations as well as existing ones.

The new installations plans were related to the erection of a new production line, where all the working disciplines had to be taken care of; e.g. Construction site and infrastructure, Civil works, mechanical works …etc.

While the plans for existing installations consisted of various maintenance plans ((especially Shut downs)), and one major multi-phases plan for improving the performance of all parts/units of an existing production line, with a time frame of 3 years.

01/08/2005-31/12/2005 GDF-The Netherlands

I joined GDF/ Gaz de France for an apprenticeship/training period of 5 months, which has ended up by joining my last work.

During those 5 months I had the chance to visit the offshore installations twice, had some on-site presentation/demonstration of the processes, and got familiar with the different procedures involved in this industry including the necessary "knack" of putting on the special suit and life vest when boarding the helicopter, and had some first hand information of how to stick to the safety rules and regulations therefore.

My tasks as a trainee planner ((co-planner)) at GDF involved among others:

- Preparing maintenance programs using Primavera Enterprise P3e version 4.1

- Preparing the schemes or planning the ((people on board)) using Excel.

- Participated in preparing Shut down and ((PMFMP)) plans for the next year 2006.

- Participated in preparing the ((aanvlieg schema)) for the heli & boat visits to the platforms for the next year 2006.

-Attending weekly maintenance meeting with the staff of engineers and supervisors from both departments of maintenance and production.

-Holding my own P2P ((person to person)) discussions and attending daily or semi-daily department meetings.

-Having the privilege to our data base program called ((Maximo) which equals (SAP) in other companies, I perform numerous tasks, such as making reservations (bookings) for the heli. flights and approving them ((WAPPRD)) status.

-Using Maximo, I issue work orders, and have the privilege or authority to modify others' work orders.

-Issuing my statistical reports, using the graphical aid of Excel.

-For smaller programs I used MS-Project.

-I use the other "traditional" suite of Microsoft such as Word and Outlook, efficiently, and on daily bases.

2000 - 2005

Various labor activities at temporary positions in Noord Holland.

Those works included some production activities, anticorrosive works ((painting and surface treatment)), scaffolding erection at building sites, operator of some ((clever)) teach-in machinery, with all the labour skills needed at workshops, plus driving

electrical and diesel fork lifts, and operating bridge cranes, and other

handling machines.
