PERSONAL PROFILE:

Having worked with structural engineers, interior designers and product designers, as well as providing support to students on Interior Design courses at Further Educational Level, I am adaptabe to the varied nature of CAD and the challenges it brings.

CURRENT POSITION: Apeks Marine Equipment Ltd- Product Designer, September 2005 - Present. Design of Diving Equipment and associated products working as part of a team with Engineering designers, and tool makers, for in-house production. Activities include detail design for injection moulding, 3D modelling, and costing. Ability to manage own projects and achieve company budgeting targets and timelines, recently in the design of new regulator parts as part of a team of engineers. New products launch 2007/8.

EXPERIENCE:

· SGM Structural Design - June-August 2005 Structural AutoCad Technician- Working on a freelance basis for a Structural Engineer using AutoCad 2004. Draught plans for foundation layouts, rennovations of existing buildings, retaining walls, extensions and Barn Conversions. Projects involved ground beam placements, Piling plans, Site measuring up with engineer, and Truss Drawings for private client's.

· Leeds College of Art and Design November- May 2005 Teaching. Teaching drawing, rendering, for Interior design and worked with other tutors teaching AutoCAD 2004. Managing students, curriculum implementation, and achievement of deadlines for written reports, research work, to complete organisational requirements, assessment of students' projects and monitoring their progress. All within a team of other teachers and College team members.( As Part of P.G.C.E. commencing Sept' 2004).

Core projects / practices, lessons: Photoshop rendering, perspective drawing, for Interior Design, technical illustration, basic Card mock- up construction to scale.

· Raffo Design Ltd (now Evoke CREATIVE.) Freelance product design May- June 2004 Presentation and concept work for medical and consumer products. Styling for medical products.

· GBO Design Engineering, The Netherlands Product Design Oct 2001- Nov 2003. Design of both consumer and professional products, packaging design for Bostic, automotive interior concept drawing. Core projects / practices: sketches, models, and concept design. Research of Market for presentation of designs to external clients using rendered drawings, and Rhino (Similar to 3D Studio) CAD drawings.

· Speedo International Ltd Assistant Product Manager / Designer of Equipment.Sept' 2000- Sept 2001, incorporating, goggles, training products, bags and accessories. Core projects / practices: Sketch proposals, management of external suppliers for timely and cost effective products. Also involved in presentations of new ideas to Sales teams.

· Silent Night Furniture. Sept' 98- Oct' 99- Group Design 12 month post grad' placement. Interior showroom space design, Core projects / practices: AutoCAD V12 detailing for bed, cabinet furniture, and Point Of Sale displays. Site measuring up, partitioning design, and cost estimates from joinery and metal Architectural detailing.

· DOK Product Design May- August '97 Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Development drawings of medical products, sketch models and Orthographic drawings for engineers.
