PRESENT EMPLOYMENT

Employed by the waste treatment section to commission and manage a new facility for the size reduction /decontamination / assessment and segregation of waste. This involves setting to work the contamination high and low ventilation systems, breathing air, process air, sampling systems, shot blast room and equipment. I will also have to generate the operational instructions recruit and train the operators / select / buy the portable size reduction machine tools and lifting equipment.

At present I hold a SC security clearance for work in civil nuclear facilities I have also in the recent past held MoD clearance for working on nuclear submarines.

1. The Mitsuibabcock operations contract, this involves the planning and work allocation of 23 full time Mitsui staff to support the projects team at DFR in various decommissioning projects and the safe operation of all plant within Dounreay Fast Reactor area.

2. Line manager responsible for the daily management of 4 project supervisors involved in various in house projects and supporting other project teams.

3. Line manager responsible for 4 Permit to work Officers and control of the Safe Systems to Work office.

4. Maintenance Manager in control of 2 supervisors and 5 various disciplined tradesmen for the safe maintenance of all live plant and systems.

5. Authorized Person Pressure Systems

6. Authorised Person Confined Spaces

7. Authorised Person Lifting

8. Member of DFR Incident Control Support Staff.

9. Financial Sub - Delegation up to £10K on DFR projects and approval of Mitsuibabcock overtime and petty cash purchases.

10. Responsible for the training of all new technical staff joining DFR in all aspects of pant safety.

TECHNICAL

>the operation and maintenance of steam turbines, turbo generators and ancillary equipment
