Career Summary

Employed in the construction industry for the past 8 years I have gained extensive experience in most aspects of Mechanical and Electrical and project management at junior and senior levels from Estimator to Project Manager and Contracts Manager.

I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of Management techniques and skills within my own and other related disciplines. My work has involved travel throughout the UK, this has aided me in developing strong communication skills at all levels within the work place. In addition to this, the remoteness of some of the projects has also aided the development of my analytical skills of both technical and non-technical issues. The culmination of my experiences has contributed to the successful completion of these Projects.

As Mechanical Contract/Project manager I was accountable to the Company Director, being entrusted, and having signature authority for varying aspects of the project execution.

My pivotal role for the engineering team included the review of technical design documents and their approval and also being the main contact for the owner/client for all aspects of contract administration, ensuring a smooth exchange of inter departmental information from the client to the project team, both office and site based.

Encompassed within my duties has been the development of a project specific execution plan which included procurement and material control procedures, project budgeting and cost control, project reporting strategy, project manpower and resourcing, document control and the implementation of company safety policies.

A key activity has also been the development of a progress reporting structure to ensure a continuous exchange of information to all relevant departments and key personnel within the various projects, all co-ordinated through established progress meetings.
