2. Supervise the Mine Development Operation as follows, namely;

- Drilling and Blasting for openings to develop the ore body for extraction.

- Preparation of openings for Main Haulage, Ore Transfer Raises, Fringe and Slusher Drifts and Cross-cuts,

- Opening of Finger Raises towards Undercut Level,

- Development of the Undercut Level, including Undercut operation by Drilling and Blasting, this is the Block Caving Method of Mining. Done by blasting of undercut Pillars and Coyote "dog holes" in case of massive, hard to cave ore body.

- Supervises proper loading of explosives and detonating sequence of blast holes.

- Reports to Shift Superintendent all concerns of the Mine Development before the Turn-over of New Producing Blocks (caved blocks) to the Mine Production Section.
