I have wide ranging experience in Procurement and Supply servicing various internal and external customers, managing outsourced contractors and staff within the procurement and stores department.

Senior Buyer April 1996 to May 2007 SAIC Ltd, Aberdeen

Employed originally as a Procurement Officer, involved in general buying, administration, expediting and logistics, for onshore and offshore requirements. Promoted to Senior Buyer in 1998 to manage buyers, stores, out sourced purchasing contracts and develop department process and procedures

Key requirements involved developing, negotiating and administering Purchase Orders, Subcontracts and Agreements of high value, risk and complexity to support all business functions.

Analysing and estimating costs and negotiating specifications of work and other contractual provisions with suppliers, sub contractors evaluation and management of performance.

Procurement proposal and tender evaluation activities to support business functions.

Working with senior management to develop procurement strategy and develop interaction with other business areas

Manage buyers and stores and develop personal development of employees

I was involved in many projects for our customers with the emphasis on, delivery and cost control

I was also responsible for off site stores required for servicing the external contracts.

The role involved being involved in various major commercial projects for leading international companies e.g. BP & British Gas and various aspects of SAIC development.

I was responsible for the user integration on SAP for the complete UK roll out, training, requisitioning, approving, reporting, administration, process, procurement and the administration of the system.

Employed from 1994-1996 responsible for day to day office services and administration requirements for four large offices servicing around 800 contractors.

Supervisor for all daily operations, quality and health & safety for outsourced services including security, cleaning, all trades and lease contracts and refurbishment programme of offices

Technical Assistant/Storesperson August 1984 to June 1993 Rolls Royce & Associates, Dounreay

Employed initially in 1984 as an apprentice Insulation Engineer attending Cardonald College in Glasgow where I was awarded a Double Distinction for my studies and achieved highest marks overall for the course in UK.

In 1989 I trained as a Technical Assistant and worked in various departments on site including Engineering, Design and Health Physics before combining a Storeperson role & technical assistant role on a commercial packaging contract for the MoD
