Employment History

2002 to date: Huhtamaki (UK) Ltd

National Account Manager £32k + Bonuses, Pension, BUPA and Car.

This post was originally a Maternity Cover position that was going to be covered by the existing sales staff; however I persuaded the Sales Director that though I was a Quality Engineer, I was the person for the post. 18 months later, my accounts had grown from £4m to £6m, and I was taken on permanently.

My background was not originally sales, and had I never seen myself as such, what I am however is an honest and hard working, Technical Account Manager, with a good broad knowledge of the materials and processes used within the Food Industry. I have a broad, and continually growing knowledge of equipment, and associated packaging products such as Film, and Sleeves, which give the customers what they require: a complete package or Full Customer Service. By applying my knowledge, I managed to satisfy the role of a modern account manager; identifying needs, and developing products, rather than just selling off the shelf solutions that may or may not actually satisfy there needs.

1997 - 2002 Huhtamaki (Leeds)

Quality Engineer for CPET, £22k + Pension and BUPA

Reason for Leaving: Transfer to Sales

  • Technical Knowledge of CPET & APET forming
  • Involved/Managed Customer Audits, BSI Audits, and Hygiene Audits
  • Visits to Customers regarding issues and Developments

1995 - 1997 H.I. Quality Steel Castings, Chesterfield

Quality Assurance Manager £21k + Bonuses and PRP

Reason for Leaving: Redundancy

  • Quality Assurance Manager for a 85 man Foundry, reporting to the MD
  • Budgetary Control for Quality, Testing, Inspection and my Staff
  • Took courses on Accounting, Design, and Inspection.

1986 - 1995 William Cook Steel Castings, Sheffield

Final Position: Foundry Manager, left for better position at H.I. Quality Steel Castings.

Working in all areas of the Foundry, covering Managerial, Technical, and Planning roles.

  • Started at the bottom making sand cores, worked up to being a Foundry Manager
  • Staff of up to 45 men
  • Projects throughout employment in Technical, Metallurgy, Financial, Maintenance and Planning Departments
