Jan 2007 Fabricom (Oil & Gas) (Norway), Electrical Draughtsman

Present All work produced is towards, TORDIS IOR Gulfaks modification. (STATOIL)

Main responsibilities:

· To produce detailed design drawings in conjunction with engineers, including raster modifications and creation.

· Liaise with structural draughtsman to produce layouts.

· Ensuring that the work conforms to the applicable standards and specifications.

· Update registers and databases when appropriate.

These diagrams include Schematics, single line diagrams, termination drawings and electrical layouts.

The drawings are completed using Microstation V7 and V8.

Oct 2006- Imtech Marine & Offshore (The Netherlands), Electrical Engineer

Jan 2007 All work produced was towards the Audacia project, which was a conversion vessel from a pipe layer to cable layer

Main responsibilities:

· Responsible for the creation of cable connection sheets and termination details for all systems.

These responsibilities were fulfilled using the Imtech in house database. And all drawings produced were drafted onto paper.

Oct 2003- BAE Systems (Submarines Apprentice), Electrical Design Draughtsman

Oct 2006 Within this time I worked on 2 teams, an Electrical Systems team and an Electrical Outputs team. All work was produced for the Astute Class submarine.

Main responsibilities - Electrical Outputs Team:

· Produce 2D and 3D output drawings for all cableways and runs

· Update necessary design area 3D Key Plans

· Produce 2D cloud diagrams of all cableways

· Ensuring that the work conforms to the applicable standards and specifications.

These drawings were produced using CADDS5, EPD Connect (Interrogating 3D model) and Devise.

Main responsibilities - Electrical Systems Team:

· Produce 2D Commissioning Diagrams (230v)

· Produce Equipment Connection Diagrams (Trim Bilge and Ballast)

· Ensuring that the work conforms to the applicable standards and specifications.

These responsibilities were fulfilled using CADDS5, EPD Connect, Devise and all other in house related software.

Sept 2003- BAE Systems (Submarines, Apprentice), Acting as a (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) Engineer.

Aug 2004 Responsible for the development of visualisations showing the class detection

between EMC compatible equipment and cables.

Skills

I have become competent in a number of cad design programs, Best Practices and have obtained a high degree of competence in a multitude of methods with which to implement them. I can comfortably liaise with other disciplines on technical issues. My capabilities range from being an electrical 2d & 3d integrator and modeller to output drawing producer and system designer.

The software programs that I have experience with are; Cadds 5, AutoCAD, Microstation V7, Microstation V8, Ice-Pic, EPD Connect, and I am more than compliant in all Windows applications.
