Curriculum Vitae
Education:
2.1 Honours Electronic Engineering Degree
As part of my course I have:
ˇ Worked as a member of a team in the chemistry, physics and electronics laboratories.
ˇ Three years of programming experience in C.
ˇ Completed assignments using assembly code and Verilog. The assembly code project was to design a digital combination lock. The Verilog project was to design a calculator.
ˇ Part of my final year involved the undertaking of a long term project, the subject of which was Ultra-Wideband Wireless Communication [UWB]. The purpose of the project was to investigate the best method of signal modulation, spread spectrum or multi-carrier, in a multi-path environment. I designed a model of DS-UWB in a Matlab computer simulation and my project partner designed the alternative method. We were then required to analyze the difference in performance in the methods of modulation, discussing how each method handles multi-path propagation and white noise.
ˇ The course covered a broad range of subjects including Solid State Electronics, Computer Engineering, Digital Communication, Communication Systems, Radio Frequency Circuits & Systems, Digital Electronics, Digital Signal Processing and Advanced Mathematics.
Responsibilities:
ˇ Worked as part of the Diffusion Group within the process engineering department of FAB24.
ˇ Tool Manager for Vertical furnaces within the Nitride and Oxide module.
ˇ Responsible for the sustaining and improvement of the 300mm thin films equipment and associated process performance for the VFN\VFO tool sets.
ˇ Ownership of operational indicators such as safety, availability, line yield, die yield and defect reduction.
ˇ Excursion prevention, process and equipment improvements through practical use of statistical process control methods, sequential test analysis, data extraction and analysis.
ˇ Responsible for equipment qualification, process development and cost reduction. Participated in the start up and ramp of Intel 1263 and 1264 processes.
ˇ Participated in meetings and action groups.
ˇ Created and maintained technical reports.
ˇ Worked within a clean room environment.
Responsibilities:
ˇ Dealt with general public enquiries and administration of the registry list.
ˇ Assisted in the Election Counting Centre.
June 2003-Sept2003
