· Leading, directing and co-ordinating the projects team consisting of electrical and mechanical designers, cost engineers and management of the customer

· Placement of sub-contracts through the Procurements department via the framework agreement

· Leading and direction of sub-contractors both in design, manufacture, works testing phases and the on-site installation and commissioning via the term contractors

Responsibilities : Transfer Systems & Tray storage Systems 310,350 & 360

Leading a continuous improvement drive to deliver a reduction in MTBF's and an increase in the MOX plant availability.

Implementation of improved maintenance regimes utilising four technicians.

Provision of a technical back up to the shift engineering team to ensure correct diagnosis of malfunctioning plant and equipment leading to a permanent maintenance solutions

Highlighting of component that were not fit for purpose, co-ordinating design resource to designing out of the problem, liaison with S&ERM and implementation of the solutions via PMP.

Writing of Work Safety Plans (WSP's) and Plant Modification Proposals (PMP's)

Unique Tasks :

  • Design and built a Blister Box to change a window & seals. System 350 under partial vent conditions - PVC dress
  • Torit Filter Removal - Air Fed Suit
  • Hot Tapping of MOX Grinder dust Pipe to Torit filter line & DOP point installation
