PROJECT MANAGER
Key Duties
Currently responsible for the management of the circa 10M USD revenue projects comprising of:
1.Offshore drilling and Xmas Tree completions installation services - (personnel and equipment) to Talisman Energy to achieve successful project execution.
2.Refurbishment of Client owned (Total) Subsea Completion Tools and Equipment (including Xmas trees) at FMC's Aberdeen workshop facility.
ˇ Management of onshore and offshore Project Teams to ensure customer satisfaction KPI targets achieved by safely, efficiently achieving on time delivery of services to Client within target margins.
ˇ Acting as the main FMC point of contact for the customer on all project matters within the managed scope of supply, developing and maintaining good customer rapport at all times
ˇ Manage contracts with particular emphasis on effective control of variations to original scope of supply
ˇ Assess and monitor project all business risks (including HSE) taking the lead on management of these risks across all aspects of a project
ˇ Ensuring any performance shortcomings are reviewed and acted upon to prevent reoccurrence
ˇ Working closely with the Project Accountant, regularly reviewing project margins and providing accurate financial estimates to completion to management.

Proposals Engineer
ˇ Compiled tenders for vessel based subsea diving and construction projects, Vessel based subsea Survey services, ROV and ROV Tooling services, Product Sales and Positioning services ranging from values of a few thousand USD to circa 100MUSD. This required the use of precise and concise verbal and written communication and presentation skills at all levels of the Company up to CEO and board level. In addition served as Subsea 7 Greenwell base safety committee chairman for 2006 and was instrumental in closing out long standing safety issues.
Key Duties
ˇ Development of Pre-qualification / Proposal Schedule from receipt issue of proposal
ˇ Lead and influence multi-disciplinary proposal teams to develop proposal in conjunction with the overall schedule Preparation of cost estimate inputs
ˇ Review and preparation of contractual qualifications to Client's proposed contracting terms in line with company contracting principles
ˇ Compilation of technical input to meet Clients' specifications
ˇ Compilation of initial Project Risk register within Company guidelines including the development of any initial risk mitigation strategies
ˇ Preparation of Tender review information for Senior Management /Board Review prior to final issue
ˇ Leading negotiations with Clients through to award of contract if successful
ˇ Arranging debrief from Client whether proposal was successful or not in order to continuously improve the company's tender process.

Project Manager ROV Tooling Products and Services.
Key Duties
Responsibility for the management multi-disciplinary Project Teams in the provision of ROV Intervention Tooling Products (standard and new design) and ROV Tooling Intervention equipment and Personnel.
ˇ Acting as the main Halliburton Subsea point of contact for the customer on all project matters, developing and maintaining good customer rapport at all times
ˇ Developing proposals for the provision of products/services/hardware
ˇ Managing engineers and draftsmen in the product design and delivery process for ROV tooling and associated hardware
ˇ Assisting Department manager in constructing personnel development programmes for department personnel.
ˇ Managing onshore and offshore delivery of ROV Tooling and Services including the close-out of any outstanding issues highlighted during onshore SITs prior to offshore mobilisation.
ˇ Assess and monitor project HSE and financial risks taking the lead on management of these risks across all aspects of a project

Key Duties
ˇ Design of ROV tooling and associated hardware including first ROV deployed hydrocarbon sampling skid - Joint US patent awarded.
ˇ Production of SIT reports and close out of issues
ˇ Engineering support to ROV installation activities including production of any necessary calculations.

Development Engineer
Key Duties
ˇ Design and development through to working prototype reliability testing of various modules of a new design document processing machine including direction of draftsmen and technicians. Target build was 2000 units (in various configurations) per annum with a 45M USD development budget.
ˇ Liaising with sheet metal manufacturers and plastic tooling manufacturers to minimize part and tooling capital expenditure costs.
ˇ Ensuring through ECN and MRB processes that any changes identified during development testing are implemented cost effectively while maintaining the required functionality.
ˇ On site support during field development trails of the new system in various states of the USA.

ˇ Design of main propulsion shafting for the first of class Duke Class (Type 23 Frigate)

Key Duties
ˇ Underwent a course of theoretical and practical study and Southampton College of Higher education and Warsash Nautical College leading to the ward of a BSc Degree in Marine Engineering.
ˇ Served as Engineer cadet on steam turbine driven VLCC (circa 250,000 dwt) and diesel driven product carrier (circa 20,000 dwt) during practical study periods undergoing Merchant Navy Training Board specified practical and written training course during this period.
