Project Manager

Part of the joint Telent/Amey station communications refurbishment project for Tube Lines.
Duties include providing inputs to the Project Programme, liase with planners, design engineers and TLL client to co-ordinate project.
Produce early warning and delay notification and position papers as required.
Provide relevant inputs to the Sub Contract appointment process and ensure their continued compliance as applicable.
Provide inputs to the project management element of the project change control board.
Provide day-to-day line management and direction to the project delivery team (Works programme controllers, site engineers etc).
Attend weekly site and or client progress meetings.

Responsible for the successful handover of all new communication assets on two LUL stations within time and budget.
Recently tasked to manage the Communication Design for the Tottenham Court Road Upgrade Project.


(Dec 2006 to Aug 2007)

Project Manager

Working with the client (Atkins Rail) on contracted work as part of the Metronet Alliance Station refurbishment project. Responsible for overseeing a team of engineers involved in the install of new communication infrastructure at LUL stations. This includes the installation of new security surveillance equipment, Public address, Help points and associated cabling with a budget of £170k.
These duties include client meetings, Station site meetings and all necessary reporting.

Senior Project Engineer

Responsible for overseeing of the installation of Fibre Optic, Radio, and Power cabling and associated equipment on LUL stations for the Fluor Global Services on the CONNECT PROJECT. Managing two Project engineers within the project team successfully delivering completed Stations to the client within time and budget. The duties include but are not limited to project planning, Method statement writing, As built drawings, resourcing, planned / actual cost analysis and sub – contract hire.

Delivered (CMS) infrastructure for several LUL Stations for the client.

Responsible for multiple Voice and Data projects (Frame, IPVPN, PIP, and ATM) from Order entry through to billing of revenue. To initially set up virtual teams and agree associated responsibilities, attend customer meetings to set expectations and report progress. Produce Microsoft Project Plans showing key milestones for the delivery of the network, produce progress reports and final hand over documentation and to report all project deliverables in summary to a senior management level.
Seamless upgrade/migration of a customers 35 site European Frame network to PIP.
Seamless migration of a customers 25 site US/European Frame network to PIP, audit of customer invoicing to reflect all transport changes against existing charges.

Responsible for rolling out major network installation solutions at customer premise ensuring works continuity programming is maintained as well as customer operational services. Managing design failure/flaws, establishing contingency plans along with project control via Risk Analysis and Issue planning. Responsible for Quality, Health and Safety procedures.
Managing a team of seven engineers, involving new recruitment, training, appraisals, tender evaluation meeting for contractors, material procurement, Installation scheduling and for reporting procedures to senior management and the client.

In conjunction with the client redesigned comms cabinet to reflect regulatory changes for equipment.
