Position: Stores Team Manager - Responsible for 12 staff employed across three separate stores areas, including the Finished goods stores, Maintenance and Assembly/ Manufacturing stores.

Position: Configuration Analyst (contract role) - Control of hardware and software assets within the cmdb using HP Openview software, importing data using MS Excel and Access as necessary. This role is integrated into the Change management process, which requires that all change requests be authourised by the Configuration management team. The organisation uses ITIL methodologies.

Position :IM Stores Manager (contract role) - Working in the Information Management department, responsible for managing all stock control functions within the central stores department for this government organisation. Also responsible for setting up new pc's ready for building prior to role out into the wider organization and the management of asseted items including creation on the cmdb for the Configuration department, moving and transferring items around the organisation and final disposal. The department runs broadly to ITIL guidelines.

Position : Purchasing officer - Working in the busy Logistics department, carried out general purchasing duties, ordering computer and peripheral spare parts as required by field and site based computer engineers.

February 2003 to April 2003. Service Data Ltd. 4 Brunel gate, East Portway industrial estate, Andover, Hampshire.
Position : Logistics Consultant - Investigated the Logistics procedures and processes with a view to producing reports suggesting improvements where possible and subsequently writing and introducing new procedures. I was also tasked with investigating the companies inventory holdings with a view to providing a full valuation and evaluating minimum stock levels based on the business requirements.

January 2000 - August 2002. ICM Computer Group PLC. Wooburn Park Industrial estate, Wooburn Green, Bucks.
Position :ThamesValleyregion Supervisor. Responsible for the first line management of a busy regional office, including 3 Logistics staff, 2 call control staff and 35 Field service and site based engineers, including 2 on site Team leaders. The area covered by the field engineers included central South England, West London and the Thames Valley. The sites covered by site based engineers included FTSE top 100 listed companies. Responsibilities included overall management of all calls logged from vetting through to completion, recruitment and reviews of all staff. Also regularly attended Service review meetings at larger customers as required by senior management. Working as a team with the regional Customer service manager the regional turnover increased from £1.65 million to around £3.5 million at the time of leaving. The number of Field and site Based engineers also grew at this time from 15 to 35, this increase in business was achieved with an increase of only 2 internal support staff, the extra workloads being taken up by increases in efficiency.
Was also first level escalation for out of hours calls at all times, often necessitating Logistical support for other regions.

Position :Northern area Service Supervisor - Responsible for vetting of all new calls, diagnosing faults & recommending any parts requirement or providing software support as necessary. The role includes the day-to-day management of 7 field engineers in the Midlands, the North and Southern Scotland. The scheduling of all calls as well as all customer liaison was also a requirement of this role.

Position :Service Manager - Responsible for managing a small team of Field Service Engineers, internal technical support staff and a stock controller. The role included day-to-day management of the field engineers and ensuring budgetary targets were met. Target figures of over 90%
for first time fix rate and engineer response times had been met during the entire term of employment at this company. The position reported to the Managing Director.
The position became redundant.

Position :Logistics Manager - Gained promotion to Logistics Manager, in addition to the Materials Control Department, gained responsibility for the overall management of the entire field service operation. The sub-divisions within the department were: Customer Services, field and site based user support engineers, Call Scheduling and In-House Technical Support totaling 28 employees including two sub-function supervisors and three site based team leaders. My initial target was to ensure the Customer Services Department were able to work together as a team, with the target being effective communication channels being opened both externally to our customer base and internally with other departments such as Sales and Finance. Within the role came responsibility for review of all staff members. This position reported to the Managing Director.

Position :Materials Manager - Responsible for managing a very busy Materials Control Department consisting of Stores, Goods-In, Purchasing, Stock Control and Despatch. Purchasing had a spend of £700.000 per annum. All part requirements were usually issued on an 'on site next day' basis, either issued from stock or purchased. Stock levels were controlled through minimum stock levels in order to ensure next day delivery for parts ordinarily more difficult to obtain at short notice. Other purchasing included the control of equipment being repaired externally. The company was registering for BS5750 and I was charged with procedurisation of all processes throughout the Materials Control Department. Vendor appraisal and negotiation of prices also were my responsibility. The ultimate aim of my department was to ensure the highest possible level of service to the customer allied to the most cost-effective purchase of spares etc. to the company. This was achieved through effective supply chain management. This position reported to the Financial Director.

Duties include training and supervision of four employees, covering Goods In and Stores departments.

When purchasing complete, computers etc., responsible for overseeing stripping of equipment for spares etc. Also responsible for overseeing warehouse when warehouse manager absent, on holiday etc.

Position :Stock Controller/Buyer -Responsible for accurate stock control using fully computerised system, running off a Northstar Dimension CPU. Providing back-up for computer Field Engineers, when required spares were not in stock, responsible for sourcing and buying of spares from suppliers right across the spectrum. The system for the ordering and buying was implemented by myself, designed to obtain required spares as quickly as possible and provide back-up to short levels of response on the maintenance contracts as required by customers. As well as arranging for the transport of those parts in co-ordination with Field Engineers. Buying ranged from electronic components, hard disk drives, tape drives, through to printers and monitors etc., both new and second user, with the emphasis on cutting costs whenever possible.
