Thames Gateway London Partnership - TGLP

TGLP is one of Europe's biggest regeneration projects, consisting of eleven London Boroughs and two outer London Regional Authorities. Responsible for detailed monitoring and delivery of a number of transport improvement schemes across Partnership as specified in the Regional Spending Plan. This involved working closely with individual Local Authorities to ensure project completion on time and to meet performance targets and key performance indicators. Successfully liaised with Transport for London to secure additional funding where needed (budget in excess of £2.5m). Also supported several ongoing projects in Thames Gateway: Docklands Light Rail Extension to London City Airport, Lea Valley Regeneration, Sustainable Transport and Car Share Scheme and produced a comprehensive response to the consultation on airport expansion in the South East detailing how the expansion of air travel would affect Thames Gateway.

LondonBorough of Lambeth (Senior Transport Planner)

A role of a senior transport planner project managing a number of high profile projects:

➢ East London Line Extension: lobbied to bring the extension to Brixton to help regenerate the area; raised the importance of the extension in Lambeth at stakeholders meetings; involved local MP to support the project;

➢ Cross River Transit: worked on detailed planning and analysis of two alternative Tram routes in Lambeth, one to Brixton and one to Stretham, to maximise regeneration benefits in both areas;

➢ Congestion Charge: worked with Transport for London to ensure successful launch of the congestion charging scheme;

➢ Vauxhall Cross Interchange: monitoring the development of the project;

➢ Community Transport: involved in developing a business plan and strategy and securing additional funding.

ThamesRiverTransport

Produced a report on existing river transport services. Study incorporated two elements: analysis of frequency and route destinations provided by river transport operators and evaluation of existing pier facilities on the river Thames in London.

Comprehensive analysis and reporting on existing public transport services in Northampton in order to prioritise improvement measures to assist with the allocation of funding for road improvements over the 5 to 6 year period.

Heathrow Terminal 2 Traffic Flow Study

Detailed analysis and study of traffic volumes at Terminal 2 to ascertain the impact on transport movements following possible closure of control points.

ThamesValleyMulti Modal Study (TVMMS)

Carried out detailed analysis and study of public and private transport volumes and movements across the Thames Valley to assess the viability of existing public transport services and to establish whether there was a need for provision of additional public transport services. I was also involved in economic appraisal using TUBA and methodology specified in GOMMS.

Enforcement Area Co-ordinator, Transport for London (Secondment).

Management and co-ordination of enforcement strategies on more than 70 Central London bus routes. Produced a detailed analysis of any impediments affecting bus journeys in order to prioritise enforcement measures to improve bus performance. Made informed decisions on how many additional parking attendants, traffic wardens, CCTV cameras and new bus lanes were needed to improve bus travel and where the enforcement measures were strategically best placed. Achieved successful project delivery by signing a number of Service Level Agreements with the Central London Boroughs through a professional working relationship with all stakeholders involved in this pioneering project. Involved in setting up enforcement folder structure on Project Net, the intranet based tool used for sharing information between Transport for London and more than 300 members.

FinsburyPark Homeless Families Project, London

Managed a project which provided playing and learning activities for homeless children. Responsible for project delivery in accordance with the government's national curriculum.
