Working for Petrofac Counsultants subcontracted to BP Bruce.

BP Had identified a maintenance backlog that was no longer acceptable and hired Petrofac to analyse data and advise of a solution for the liquidation of said backlog .Backlog had to be liquidated by year end. 2003

Analyse data supplied by BP from Maximo data set and compile a spreadsheet for each discipline. Prepare a plan for each discipline to reflect liquidation of work orders by year end. Project manpower requirements, vendors, specialists etc. Submit plans for general agreement both onshore and offshore and issue as working documents. Monitor and update all plans as required and advise on a daily basis status of project meeting required year end deadline. Review/revise 2004 programmes and put in place systems where no reoccurrence of 2003 problem could occur. Review Maximo database and advise of any improvements required. Implement and supervise new system.

Gabon Oilfield Rabi & Gamba Terminal.

Working primarily in Rabi Oilfield in the middle of Gabon's tropical jungle producing 90day 28 day and 14 day plans. As the workforce is split into teams by discipline and has to cover both Rabi Oilfield and Gamba terminal planning is critical to the well-being of both worksites. In Rabi have an assistant but in Gamba have three where spend 25% of my time liasing with them. This is to ensure maximum optimisation of workforce and to ensure and safeguard the integrity of plant. Have an assistant scheduler in Gamba with a data input clerk and an assistant to the Gamba scheduler duties include the overseeing of the workorders converted from Notifications and checking the correct data codes have been selected. Insure manhour recording process and history recording process are adhered to and kept up to date. Check the compliance against to planned / actual worklist and report on the same. Liase with both Maintenance Co-ordenators with a view to improving manpower utilisation.

Decommissioning planning for the Hutton Tension Leg Platform. Topside structure had been sold for reuse as designed. The decommissioning had to be precisely planned in order to meet. New onsite delivery dates in conjunction with Department of Trade and Environment regulations, Produce a detailed decommissioning plan to include the cutting of riser casings ,Risers, Tension Leg anchors, also the environmentally friendly removal of all drill cuttings resting on seabed. Liase with current owner ,new owner and DT&E. This was the first time a project such as this had been undertaken and was very much pioneering work. All situations had to be planned to the etch degree. Very interesting and invigorating work.

Produced 14,21,& 90 day plans using Microsoft Project which includes manning levels, material requirements, costs, & also stock replenishment to min/max levels. Created 1,2,5, & 10-year projections with various permutations in an attempt to maximise plant life and minimise manpower & material costs. Produced month end quarterley,half yearly, reports on progress,manpower & material costs for senior management both on site and in Tripoli. Part of a five-man team who analysed the percentage reports and information to determine the maintenance strategy and budget for the ensuing 12 months and beyond. Analysed the data in order to determine the correct frequencies for the equipment's planned maintenance strategy are not compromised.

Part of a two-man team recruited to create a plan to maintain and report on the last 13% of construction, pre-commission & commissioning planning. To compile a schedule from a predetermined priority list of instrument, electrical, mechanical and piping etc. From a typical template common to all work packages a schedule consisting of 675 packages. With a total of 9380 line items monitored, progressed and reported on. Update main dataset with progress reported by shipyard. Site visits on occasions to verify/cross check contractor estimates. Customised reports were supplied to each discipline engineer and marked up for input one week later. Regular meetings were attended with senior management to explain/highlight any problem areas/concerns and were addressed in a timely manner. Liase with Exxon representatives and furnish them with any number of reports tailored to their requirements.
