Continuous monitoring of the performance of the team to ensure all trains are prepared for services and trouble cards are dealt with correctly.

Organisation of the initial investigation of defective trains withdrawn from service. Maintenance of defect records and causes to facilitate monitoring of train born failures.

Taking a pro-active lead in adapting workloads for delivery and maintenance teams to cater for changing demands and ensure goals are met.

Administration of depot disciplinary, attendance, staff grievance, welfare and negotiating procedure. Taking an active role in individual team member's development and training to ensure that all staff have the necessary skills training and that relevant licences are held and revalidated as necessary.

Enforcement of company rules and safety procedures. Administration of the permit to work procedures ensuring internal and contractor's staff are provided with a safe working environment.
