Plant and skills experience

Covering a range of process instrumentation and electrical practices. In depth knowledge of electronic devices including commissioning and field repair down to component level when required to do so.

SCADA
Wonder ware factory suite running on Windows NT running in batch and in touch. General use to diagnose faults and rectify software problems by utilizing phase logic i.e. stop start or abort phase. Field devices connected by Siebe profibus using Allen Bradley and Invynses I/O modules. Experience with Siemans Profibus input modules as some of the plant that utilizes Siemans S5 also has remote devices connected by Siebe Profibus; these inputs are both digital and analogue inputs.

Flow meters.
Danfoss Magflow used for water batching.
Foxboro pressure transmitter liquid flow (glycol).

Level Measurement.
Endress + Hauser conductivity meters used to fill detergent, caustic and water vessels. Experience in the configuration and calibration of meters.

Temperature control.
Partlow 7000 chart recorders used in cooking temperature control and documentation.
Spirax sarco PID controllers used in chilled water control systems.

Variable speed drives.
Siemens Micromaster, IMO, Danfoss and Mitsubishi.

Process Weight Control.
Loma, grasby best and ishida check weighers and metal detection.
