Senior Project Engineer representing KJO (Khafji Joint Operations) in a fabrication yard in Alexandria, Egypt.

This part of the Project comprises 6 jackets and associated topsides to be installed offshore Saudi/Kuwait.

Apr 2007 - Oct 2007 Swift (Nigeria) Ltd.

Client rep on behalf of SPDC in a Pressure Vessel manufacturing facility in Nigeria producing tanks, vessels and pump skids for the Okoloma Gas plant part of the Afam Gas to Power Project.

Dec 2005 - Mar 2007 Swift (Nigeria) ltd.

Mechanical vendor inspector on behalf of SPDC on the Afam Power Project initially based in the design engineering contractor's office in Germany reviewing mechanical and structural design documents and making inspection visits to the various vendor manufacturing plants in Europe prior to final shipment.

Nov 1997 - May 2005 Linkso Ltd. (Nigeria)

Quality Management Services co-ordinator for The Shell Petroleum Development Co. (Nigeria) Ltd. (Associated Gas Gathering Projects), monitoring construction and commissioning, principally utilised upon static and rotating equipment, also responsible for ensuring that the main EPC contractor conforms with the procedures, specification and HSES requirements to the satisfaction of the client. Projects worked on are Soku, Belema and Cawthorne Channel.

Senior consultant to the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) of NNPC, on the Mobil (Nigeria) offshore gas Oso 2Y-2 development project. Fabrication was performed in Ravenna, Italy in an offshore platform yard.

Jun 1996 - Oct 1997: Penspen Ltd. (Nigeria & U.S.A.)

As above but on the NNPC/Mobil Ekpe Gas Compression Project. From November 1996 to the end of April 1997, fabrication was in the U.S.A and hook-up from May 1997 to mid September, offshore Nigeria.

Mechanical engineer and deputy construction supervisor on the project management team for SPDC (Nigeria) on a sand filled flowstation construction project (part of the South Forcados development). Responsible for ensuring compliance with project drawings, specification, procedure and schedule.

Apr 1995 - Feb 1996:West African Oilfield Services Ltd. (Port Harcourt, Nigeria)

Engineering manager for flowstation and wellhead platform refurbishment/installation for oil majors in the swamps of Nigeria. The department was responsible for surveying of pipeline routes, as-builts, DESIGN modifications to flowstations, wellhead platforms and pipe lay barges, preparation of tenders for further swamp work, offshore pipe laying and hook-up projects.

Oct 1994 - Dec 1994: Stork Protech (Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.)

Mechanical engineer seconded to Adma Opco on a design study for an offshore main oil line replacement project. The work comprised mainly of directing drawing office, site survey, riser protection and pipe support design.

Dec 1993 - Sept 1994: In-Spec/Tecnitas (Iran)

Site manager for a contractor's team representing N.I.O.C. on their Caspian Sea project in Northern Iran. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the main contractor's construction activities, and approval of design modifications for a cantilever jack-up drilling rig, leading a small team of disciplne engineers and reporting (progress) to head office on a weekly basis.

Aug 1993 - Oct 1993:Oilfab Group Ltd. (Aberdeen)

Preparation of mechanical/piping estimate (CTR`s) for safety case study modification to Texaco Tartan topsides facilities. Preparation and co-ordination of equipment layout DESIGN as part of a pre-qualification proposal for the development of Texaco's Captain field project.

Dec 1992 - Mar 1993: Lamprell Brothers (Sharjah, U. A. E.)

Project engineer responsible for mechanical/piping design aspects, installation and hydrotesting (including procedures) on a jack-up drilling rig being converted to a 480 man bed accommodation barge, reporting to the engineering manager.

Apr 1989 - Nov 1992: Ewbank International Consultants (Qatar)

Secondment to QGPC (Qatar General Petroleum Corporation) as senior project engineer for 16 months. Preparation of tender and contract documents, design briefs, planning, budgets and evaluation of design packages plus tenders and managing small wellhead/jacket projects including sub-sea and topside pipeline repairs.

Senior project engineer on the QGPC's topsides improvement project (to extend the life to offshore production stations by optimising the production process, piping arrangement and removal of redundant equipment). The project commenced with conceptual studies and progressed through to detail design.

Dec 1988 - Apr 1989: Wimpey Offshore (Aberdeen)

Mechanical engineer co-ordinating mechanical, piping and pipelines disciplines on Mobil`s Beryl gas sales project topside modifications design.

May 1988 - Dec 1988 Brown & Root (Norway)

Site engineer at Maritime Hydaulics drilling equipment base, co-coordinating certification and testing of material/equipment for the BP Gyda Project.

Oct 1987 - May 1988: Ewbank International Consultants (Oman)

Project engineer seconded to Petroleum Development Oman. Planning and implementation of oil/gas surface production facility modifications in accordance with PDO's technical procedures involving co-ordination and control of design consultants and design checking/approval on various projects.

Senior project engineer seconded to Sarawak Shell in an onshore co-ordination role including design modifications, material take off and selection on an integrated gas drilling and production complex.

Mechanical engineer acting for Philips Petroleum in London approving purchase orders and inquiry specifications for the Eldfisk and Edda platforms. Pre-commissioning, certification to hand over of all systems (except power generation) on BP`s Forties 'B' and 'C' platforms and Elf's CDP-1 platform.
