Site ManagerResponsible for the management of enhanced station refurbishment projects at Becontree, Elm Park, Dagenham East stations, which involved the site set up of Elm Park station. Costs of projects were 7 - 15 million. Responsibilities: ˇ Provide the Construction Manager with relevant information on incidents associated with the project. ˇ Ensure the Health, safety & environment plan is kept up to date as works progress ˇ Undertake site safety surveys and provide reports, Promote co-operation between all contractors ˇ Enforce all site rules, Ensure that all signage is displayed and updated ˇ Provide the Planning Supervisor with the information required for the health, safety & environment file. ˇ Ensure personnel on site receive information and training on health, safety & environment ˇ Ensure that all arrangements for access, hoardings, protection masters and SPiCs are in place ˇ Familiarize myself with the contents of the associated QUENSH Conditions and method statements and ensure that all those working on site are aware of and comply with the requirements therein. ˇ Ensure that Risk Assessments are carried out for all activities and record those where there may be a significant risk to health, safety & environment. ˇ Ensure that all site personnel are trained and competent to perform their tasks ˇ Make arrangements for induction training to cover the specific health, safety & environment requirements of the work e.g. specific risks, control measures, permit to work requirements, welfare facilities, emergency procedures, first aid provisions etc. ˇ Ensure that all contractors, sub-contractors and self-employed persons comply with the requirements of the health, safety & environment plan. ˇ Provide personnel working on the construction phase with comprehensive information on the risks to health, safety & environment arising from the work. I was then employed as site person in charge, our work was varied in size & cost. | ||
1996 - 2000Crystal Group Ltd (Building, Maintenance & Environmental) London At Crystal I was employed as a Surveyor/Estimator which involved visiting clients and surveying the job to ensure that the correct time and materials were supplied and installed as per the original specification which would have already been agreed by the client. The above works were carried out on various sites ranging from Hospitals, Office blocks, Building sites, Government buildings and Restaurants and shops.
