Working as a member of the drawing office to prepare drawings for the manufacture of the company products (ie; Robotic material handling systems and Water Treatment Plants) using Autocad and Solidworks.

Aug 2001 to date - FKI Logistex, Corringham Rd ind Est. Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. (Formerly Dexion Materials Handling) Worked within a small team designing special purpose units to compliment the company's standard range of various conveyor products using Autocad 2000 and Solidworks 2004.

Jan'95 to July 2001 - Baker Refractories, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Refractory Brick Manufacturers.

Working on Autocad release 14 (and 3D modeling) I was the Company Mould Designer responsible for the design of all brick pressing moulds (size of moulds from 5kg to 30 tonnes). I was the only Engineering Draughtsman on the company and also supported the Maintenance Department with all engineering drawings and any variety of drawings/posters/charts for all other departments. Also regularly used Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and a company tailored program for control of all Mould Parts linked in to the production program (pressing of all the bricks on the company).

Mar'93 to Jan'95 - Trimcote Ltd, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Bakery Equipment and Packaging Machine Manufacturers.

From August 1995 Production Coordination Engineer responsible for purchasing, progressing and collating all items ready for assembly.

Upto August 1995 Design Engineer/Draughtsman responsible for initial concept, design and detail through to final manufacture. Also assisted in the building and testing of machinery.

Sept'89 to Feb'93 - Dukeries Designs Ltd, Worksop, Nottinghamshire (Closed 1993). Sub-contract Design, Engineering and Management. Work undertaken included :- Printing Machinery Design, Fast Food Machinery Design, Structural Steelwork drawings, Design and Manufacture of Label Machine Label Magazines, Conveyor Design and Build, Managed the manufacture and building of Diamond Mining Machinery in Worksop and Installation in Ghana (West Africa).

Aug'82 to Aug'89 - Trustpak Machinery Ltd, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire (Closed 1990). Packaging Machinery Manufactures.

Design Draughtsman. Other duties included :- Machinist (Turning & Milling), Fitting, Testing, Installing Equipment, Ordering, Customer Liaison and representing the company at various national and international exhibitions.

Started here as a Craft Apprentice Fitter and later transferred to a Drawing Office Apprenticeship. Became Jig and Tool Draughtsman for the company.
