Testing scripted applications from MSI through to using SMS to advertise finished product onto test machines.

At first involved in office moves which meant recabling and reconfiguration of in-house SYTEC LAN network, with resultant testing of terminals

Placed in charge of work requests for in-house p.c.'s. This involved building new P.C.'s with new software installation. Also the retrofitting of bus cards and software on pre built p.c.'s.Working mainly with IBM/AT or Atclones 8086/80286/80386 machines.Building of Apple Macintosh pcs and installation of peripheral equipment and software was also undertaken.Installation of network adapter cards and Novell/TCPIP software on all pcs throughout the Shell Expro network.

Transferred into project work dealing with the communications infastructure in Shell.This involved the testing and configuration of SYTEC LAN. broadband system,Chipcom ethernet tri-channel,G.D.C. T.M.S./Megamux/minimux multiplexors,Codex 6000/6740 series of multiplexors and DEC/XYPLEX terminal servers.Latterly involved with the configuration,installation and commisioning of Cisco Routers.

Transferred to being in charge of all new installations of Desktop computer equipment throughout Shell Expro.In charge of team of four installation engineers.

Headed up new section detailed with the evaluation of all equipment,new or stock,that required movement/installation in Shell Expro.Primarily this was to ascertain whether customers requests were feasible,practěcable in Shell.Heavily engaged in installation of new operating system alongside Microsoft Office97/95,Netscape,Openmail and all other types of software currently used at Shell.
