Metronet have a 30 year contract with London Underground to renew and maintain the infrastructure on 2 thirds of the network. The PPP contract contains benchmark obligations with regard to the conditions of the assets at the end of each control period of 7.5 years.
Principal Accountabilities:
As Head of Track Scope Development I have to ensure that for the P/Way Track Assets (Plain Line, Switch and Crossings, and Deep Tube) the work bank we have delivers those benchmarks. Whilst also monitoring the condition of the assets to ensure that they are either renewed or undergo heavy maintenance as required, to maintain a safe asset.
Managing a team to deliver Particular Specifications to the delivery agents to ensure the engineering solution for each asset to be renewed is robust.
Specifying heavy maintenance activities to ensure that assets are maintained cost effectively and ensuring Whole Life Asset Management of the infrastructure
Managing and resolving all technical queries from delivery agents. Leading the delivery agents and designers to provide optimum designs.
Managing site investigation contracts and undertaking analysis of the provided reports to ensure that the correct engineering solution is employed for the assets.
