BirminghamOn relocating to Birmingham I joined a company called Watermans and worked in the structural department. Whilst working at Watermans I have worked mainly on steel, concrete and reinforcement projects further developing my skills and knowledge of these materials and also drawing techniques. At this company I have produced many different types of drawings within the structural and civil departments such as reinforced concrete, drainage, steel arrangements & details, foundations including underpinning, piles & ground beams and also topographical drawings. I spent a large amount of time whilst working at this company creating reinforced concrete and drainage drawings and I feel I have developed my Reinforcement and drainage skills and knowledge to a much higher level than I had before. I also feel that I have developed my research skills to a lot higher level and able to locate information on product types using a wide range of sources.

LeedsAfter leaving White Young Green I decided to move to a smaller company within Leeds to gain experience producing civil as well as structural drawings. The main types of drawings that I produced whilst working here included all drainage and external works drawings, structural plans and retaining wall drawings. Another duty was to assist the CAD manager in delegating the work as well as checking other drawings to make sure they were to ARP standards, unofficially taking the lead role once the manager left the company.
(Jun 2004 to Sep 2005)
