Provide freelance copywriting, editorial & proofreading services to UK and international businesses and professionals. Assist in the design of integrated marketing communications plans & provide ad hoc business consultancy services and am responsible for brand management and the guardianship of my clients’ brands. Marketing & Communications: Senior copywriter; editor/proofreader & brand manager. Account manager for external design agency.
Overall responsibility for both external and internal marketing channels & integrated marketing communications including: website & annual report copywriter, copy-editor and proofreader. With an exceptional eye for detail, I was also responsible for co-writing, copy-editing and the final sign-off of all written/visual mate-rial & documentation including reports, financial projections, correspondence, presentations etc. Updated website via content management system.


Project Close: Proofread all legal contractual documents for accuracy and consistency. Assisted the Executive Board in all administrative aspects of achieving a project’s financial close. Coordinated the financial close timetable, including the logistics of contractual documentation signing via the legal teams & management of the condition precedent list.

HR: Responsible for writing and proofreading HR correspondence, employment manual and contracts before issue. I dealt with all aspects of HR including resourcing, selection interviewing, appraisals & disciplinary/grievance issues. Payroll/company benefits. Acted as liaison between staff and Executive Board. Maintained confidential records; implemented mentoring programme for junior members of staff and the MBTI methodology as part of business unit personal development plans. Planning & development of internal workshops.

Events/PR Management: Successfully planned, developed & hosted seminars, corporate & personal events on behalf of the Executive Board. Designed the event format, created invitations & promotional material, booked venues, coordinated guest list & individual requirements, managing the whole process from inception to completion. Proofread all external and internal communications.

Other duties included: Executive Board diary management & travel co-ordination; property portfolio management; account management and customer/supply chain liaison/ key investor relationship management; research/information management to support competitor analysis & marketing initiatives.
