| Professional Experience Database Skills 1. Eurofighter Mission Database … August 2004 to August 2006 Present. As part of the software integration test team, I have to learn more up to data technology including SQL Server 2000. I attended the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database Administrators course ( refer to attachment). I have also learnt generic SQL and advanced SQL Server Database Administration using text books from the SAMS Teach Yourself range. This project was eventually cancelled and I was laid off. I am currently learning Visual C# .NET 2004 using this method. 2. Drawing Office Configuration Control Database. August 1980 to November 1986 This was my first job after graduating. The software for the database system was written in Cobol and Basic. The database held, in electronic form, all of the documents required to build the Foxhunter radar. I eventually became the database section leader. Software QA 1. Fagan Inspections used heavily for all software written for the Tornado GR4. 2. Company software QA standards are credited at CMM Level 5. Electronic Warfare Skills … November 1986 to August 2004 1. Radar Detection Throughout my time in Electronic Warfare, I have work with embedded software systems that detect Radar, both friendly and hostile and display information on the pilot and/or weapons officer’s display units. This work I carried out on both the Tornado GR4 and Harrier GR5 aircraft. Some of the software I wrote for the Tornado GR4 was subsequently migrated to the Harrier GR7 as part of the aircraft’s mid life update. 2. Mission Dependent Data (MDD) In order for host testing to take place, large numbers of test MDDs have to be created. These MDDs may contain single radar emitters, agile radar emitters and weapon systems. Associated with these emitter types are identity tables, all of which have been created by hand. Whilst working on the Tornado GR4, I have had to modify such test MDDs on a large number of occasions. 3. Flight Trials Flight trials in the USA have meant that several variants of the Operational Software have been created. The software team, including myself, has supplied different systems to perform functions such as data logging and a replay facility whereby the recorded data may be played back on the test rigs. Recent Courses SQL Server 2000 Databnase Administration. Official Microsoft course. Fagan Inspection Techniques for Software QA. UML design methodology. Electrostatic Awareness. UNIX.
