MP Designs was set up in 2002, and was launched as a computer based graphics design business. However not long after I started I received a call from a prospective client asking whether or not I would custom paint a guitar for him.

From this point on the direction of the business change, slightly, and I established MPD as offering a 'Custom Painting' service for guitars. This ran along side the graphics work that I undertook quiet nicely, as I was doing all 'freelance' work for a company called 1st Print UK, designing menu's, brochures, business cards etc for all their clients.

My responsiblitiys, along with a colleague, was to mantain the day to day running of a busy departmental facility that specialised in the filming and editing for the Film and TV Production course.

We had to oversee the student projects, and train students in the use of camera techinques and non-linear editing. We also had to maintain a large data base of all the departmental films and a college wide library of 'off-air' video programmes.
