My job also entails copy chasing for the advertisers, sending out pdf proofs for approval. Making final high resolution pdfs for the printers. Adhering to strict print deadlines and often setting ads right up to the print day because of late sales.

In charge of a team of six designers setting the ads for all the computer magazine. Trouble shooting was a big part of the job as advertisers often sent in their 'final' artwork, which had to be converted to a format we could use for print. At first we sent to film, but later to pdf. I wrote a course for QuarkXPress which was used across the Ad design teams in Future Publishing. Adhering to numerous strict deadlines. I also improved efficiency by creating an ad back up library for all to use.
