Colourplan Design and Print are a leading company in the field of sports information and promotional literature production.

My main duties are designing layouts for match day magazines for several professional football and rugby clubs. The client would then discuss with myself which design to work with for the season and then working on my own I would produce a full magazine working to a page plan that the club has issued me with. The magazines differ from club to club and can consist from 48 pages to 100 pages. Usually with only a couple of days to do each one in.

Other responsibilities that I have producing the magazines would be contacting the editorial department at each club, contacting design agencies with regards to them supplying adverts and setting the pages up for print.

The nature of the work has taught me to take a design brief from start to finish within a tight deadline.

As well as the match day magazines I also create work for commercial clients, such as designing brochures, corporate identity, logo design and signage.
