Whilst working with Pfizer, I have developed a holistic business improvement methodology specifically targeting SME business owners. Based around the principles of a strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats analysis and strategic planning, we help SME business owners develop a strategic plan for their business. We then work with the owner and his/her business to identify and implement specific strategies to move the business forward.

Project consultant creating a reverse migration route for manufacturing sites, away from a shared services centre, so that the site can work autonomously, required if sites are to be sold.

Project consultant to replace SunSystems with Oracle as part of Pfizer’s pan European shared services centre initiative. Responsible for the decommissioning of the Sunsytems fixed asset and projects modules and their migration to Oracle.

• Date extraction, via SQL scripts, cleansing, enrichment and migration.
• Testing and reconciliations.
• Specifying and implementing management reports.
• Ongoing support of Oracle projects, reports and reconciliations.

Project consultant and manager to implement a large finance system for Pfizer Pharmaceutical’s. The scope extended to six manufacturing sites and related administration functions. Implementing SunSystems interfaced to other third party and legacy software to provide full ledger, purchasing, sales, inventory, fixed asset and project management functionality. My involvement started from the initial scope meetings, through a series of agreed milestones and “go live” dates to ongoing support.

Specific responsibilities included;
• Development of the project budget and plan, its review and cost control.

• Business mapping and system design with particular responsibility for capital spend, project accounting and fixed assets.

Finance Director for a successful, profitable and highly respected standard setting business in facilities management. I was part of the senior leadership team involved in all aspects of managing the Company.
• Responsible for the accounts and payroll departments, I managed a team of ten. Activities included accounts payable and receivables, management accounts, budgeting, cash flow. A key challenge was a weekly timesheet based payroll for over 2000 employees.
