I have been working with computers since the age of 14. Over the last couple of years I have been working in the field of innovation. I obtained a National Diploma in computer studies & other qualifications.

CV

I have been working with computers since the age of fourteen. My first qualification in computing was a G.C.S.E. in Information Technology, along with six other G.C.S.E.'s. Then I did a computer studies national diploma in 1992, which I pass with excellant grades. I also at the same time became a member of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers (IAP). Since 1992 I have been working in the field of computers, and the last three years I have been working in the field of innovation, coming up with Web-sites templates and marketing schemes. I have also done a Getting into Business course, in preparation for self-employment, and have successfully done a Diploma in Information Technology in 1997.

Innovator

I have spent the last three and a half years working in the field of innovation, coming up with good ideas for new web-sites, plus I have worked on a marketing scheme for a mass produced non-fossil fuel car. I have invested alot of money & time into this field of expertise, with varying levels of success. But I have for the last six month have not come up with any new innovations, Innovator writers block I think. Thus I need to pay the bills, so I am now looking for freelance work.

I worked in the local Tele-center, supervising members of the public, while they had access to tele-center equipment and on-line courses. I also taught individuals starter courses into computing. During this period I started to get interested in the field of innovation, and coming up the web-sites ideas and marketing schemes.

Programmer

TAPNet, Llandrindod Wells

I worked for TAPnet, based in College Powys in Llandrindod Wells for about three and a half years. Basically I worked primarily as a programmer in DBase III, and pascal. There were alot of clients who used TAPNet services, and so I spent most of my time programming databases of clients records, mainly using Dbase III. I also did other office duties, using word, excel, and AutoCAD.

Light Fitting Designer

IMP Lighting, Newtown

I worked for IMP Lighting in Newtown, as they originally offered me a job when I worked there for work experience in the summer of 1992. I worked there for nearly four years, mainly designing light fitting using AutoCAD. I also completed other office duties, like typing letters using Word, accounts using Sage.

I worked for Walters Trouser factory in the summer holidays and others holiday breaks, from 1989-1992. I worked mainly as a dispatch clerk, sorting out orders for dispatch.

RSA Examination Board

I obtained a Diploma in Information Technology for the RSA Examination board in 1997, basically to up-date my skills. I studied in Llandrindod for six months to obtain my Diploma. Skills covered included, databasing, wordprocess, e-mail, spreadsheet and some graphics packages.

Getting into busines

I did a three months Getting into business course, in preparation to run a business. At the time I was working on HTML and web designing, althought I have now forgotten most of that skill. I worked on producing a business plan, and accounts for a small business. The course was one day a week at a local hotel, for a three month period. The course was run by the Heart of Wales Business Centre based in Llandrindod Wells.
