Regular client since Oct 2000 - Approx 118 wks work designing and programming database applications including Maintenance Management for Railway Properties, Order Processing for Rail Works, Drawing Management, Training and Assessment Management for Rail Operatives, Tender Management, Claim Correlation databases, Staff/Phone Cost Allocation system, Cost Value Reconciliation and Bond Tracking system with management reporting, Project Management systems, and a Management System for Heath and Safety and other Site Inspections.
Applications for company wide management use a central SQL Server database with Windows Forms VB.net front-ends deployed through Citrix. The localised applications are split Access databases mostly deployed through Citrix.

Regular client since Dec 2002 - Approx 55 wks work designing and programming a suite of database applications for the management and implementation of market surveys. This comprises a SQL Server database with several Windows Forms front-end applications written in C#.net.
The applications include functions for importing lists of contact information, sampling, staff allocation, time recording, setting survey properties, producing management reports, selecting and dialling telephone numbers, recording telephone survey results, and recording the return of postal surveys.

Regular client since March 2005 - Approx 9wks work. This client licenses the database that I created for the management of the water framework contract for South Wales (see McNiff below). For Daniels I upgraded the backend from Access to SQL Server, modified the Access front-end to make it more efficient, and extended and improved the reporting facilities. This application electronically imports contract orders and facilitates programming of the work, issue of work schedules, recording of plant and operative time and materials, quantification and valuation of the work. It produces valuations, invoices and operative time sheets, and provides extensive management reporting including comparison of target versus actual costs. It is deployed through Terminal Server.

Regular client since Nov 2004 - Approx 14wks work designing, programming and upgrading an application that manages fundraising activities; recording results, calculating wages, and producing invoices and management reports. I originally created this as a split Access database but recently upgraded it to SQL Server 2005 Express with an Access front-end because of an increased number of users. I have also carried out minor changes to this client's website in PHP.

Occasional client since Aug 2001 - Approx 3wks work – Access database and front-end for management of membership including invoicing, creation of membership handbook and production of information to be displayed on the website.

Approx 4wks work designing and programming an application that manages and reports upon customer contacts and order progress. SQL Server with a VB.net front-end.

Occasional client since May 2001 - Approx 4wks work - Access database for managing orders for floristry supplies including stock control and links to Sage Accounting. Access database for managing the pricing of printing work with an associated web based ASP price calculator for customer use.

Occasional client since Jul 2003 - Approx 11wks work – Several small Access applications for various business management functions and a telephone sales management application in VB.net with SQL Server back-end which selects and dials telephone numbers, saves results and order information and creates operative timesheets and sales records.

Approx 13wks work. Access database and front-end for a multimillion pound construction dispute. The application facilitated correlation of the issue of design information against the affected construction elements. It included functions to import existing data from a web-based project management system and to manually enter data and included reports to demonstrate the relationship between information issue and progress.

Approx 78wks work. Access databases for the management of :- Mobile Phone Use, Water Framework Contract, Mains laying Contract, Plant, Transport, and Waste Disposal. I also did modifications to various existing databases, computer repairs and upgrades.
