May 07 – Aug 07 – Jaguar Land Rover – I worked as a full time Design Engineer intern at Jaguar Engineering Centre, Coventry, UK. I researched and wrote a thesis based on the project management and development of the Jaguar XK front belt guide. Build up a benchmarking, generate a time planning, establish total costs (Piece/VT/D&D), ensure completion of initial CAD model design and post CAE modifications and ensure completion of CAE analysis and feedback loop were part of my tasks. A belt guide concept was generated with new ideas and directions that will, possibly, help Jaguar Land Rover to improve their product in the future.
Feb 07 – Apr 07 – Jaguar Land Rover – Working as a full time Design Engineer intern at Jaguar Engineering Centre, I was responsible to assist the management and development of the Defender steering wheel. The main objectives were support/drive the styling concept design of the wheel, establish the total costs and produce detail timing action plan to achieve full PSW sign-off. Three different steering wheel concepts were created as possible solutions for the new Land Rover Defender 2008.

Jan 05 - May 05 – Oficina Ethos – After graduation I set up a small business with two other designers in the creation and study of ecological friendly furniture. My monography was about using different ecological friendly materials to create furniture. The set consisted of a sofa, an arm chair and a centre table, all made from plywood boards.

Apr 02 - Apr 03 – Designer Junior - Moog Studio – I worked directly with the architect and designer Pedro Moog in the creation of design pieces in his company. I have participated in the whole process of the projects; from brain storming and creation, to the production and packaging. It gave me ample knowledge of how a small design company works. The main products were displays to help music records industry, such as BMG Brazil and Universal Music records, sell their CDs and DVDs. We also made some trophies and small objects for advertising campaigns.
